  3. planning on fishing the walleye LOU-ALL that is being planned for mid-July. my question is are there water fleas in this body of water?
  4. I'll be there unless there is a trout derby on that day . ( finger lakes ) Thank you for the info. And GOD bless. Rollie
  5. interested in fishing this derby but have never been to Otisco lake. could someone give a physical address for the launch. will be running up rt.81 from Binghamton so a exit number would be helpful also. not sure if the launch is at the south end or the north end of the lake, how is this launch, should I bring the the 17 ft. boat or the 21 ft.
  6. I fish from towanda to mahoppany in the fall -oct till the flow ice starts. There is a launch in wysox one in terry town and one in mahoppany. I target walleye using a jig and minnow and it is not unusual to have 3-6 muskys during an afternoon.
  7. Why are raising musky, there are way to many in the north branch just take all of those!!!!!!
  8. Looked at some of the sites you mentioned , I really don't what to use other peoples donations to pay for someone else to handle the money, would rather put everything towards the project ! Am I one of the few that still. Uses a checking acct. ??
  9. I use. Snap weights, all the depths are figured out for me !!!
  10. Here are my home made.. $ 5.00 each plus the reel
  11. There are several posts on this but basically it is a project to lift the disabled Down into a waiting boat, it will also be able to lift and set a kayak down on to the water. It will be permanently placed at the Meyers Point. boat launch and open to the public . If you can please help Us to help them!
  12. The Meyers point lift project is a go..... so here's the sales pitch. for the price of three lures or a fraction of the price of your next "ahh SH#T" that happens in shallow water, WE the fishing community can put this project in. I personally feel that this is a small price to pay for the freedom I enjoy in this country! those individuals that have given so much for that freedom can use some help. This project will only help a few but it's a start. I'm sure there are people out there that are asking "what's in it for me" my answer is nothing. Those that are asking what I'm getting out of this the answer is the same, nothing , except for a wonderful feeling that I get when a Vet says "thank you for caring"! I have taken several out on the water with me and the worst part of the day is getting them in and out of the boat, this project is the answer. SO the next time a fishing catalog or flyer comes to your door, I hope you get a guilty feeling, that is, unless you helped with this project!! once again make your check payable to "in benefit of M.P.L.P." send to Roland Conner 145 Herrickville road Wyalusing, PA. 18853 GOD bless, Rollie
  13. Thanks can't wait to get the new ride wet, blue bubble may have to be sold to help pay for the lift project that I want to put in at Meyers point!!
  14. thanks rabbit 18853 is the correct zip-code
  15. the blue prints for the M.P.L.P. were hand delivered to me on Fri. night. so it's onto the next phase! total cost of this project is going to fall somewhere between 7 and 10 thousand . this may seem steep but it is 99 % stainless steel with a 1500.00 bearing designed for the mining industry. I hope to set up a meeting with the people at Meyers Point for this week and will update there after . If anyone is interested in helping out please send your donations to Roland Conner 145 Herrickville road Wyalusing , PA. make checks payable to donations for MPLP thanks and GOD bless Rollie
  16. Try a winger above your down rigger ball more wire you let out the wider your spred, can run three rigger off narrow boat with no tangles
  17. Received a call from split shot (Scott Bennett) regarding the high interest of the people at Meyers Point for this lift. After talking to Scott I called Wemco and explained to them that we need to incorporate a kayak lift into the project. it was decided that the lift could be designed with removable attachments to accommodate this. One attachment to place a individual into and out of a boat and one to lift a individual sitting in a kayak on to and out of the water. I also have set up a banking account to handle payments. If your willing and able to donate to this project please send your donations to Meyers Point Lift Project (M.P.L.P.) C/O Roland Conner 145 Herrickville Road Wyalusing, PA. I will personally guarantee that every penny raised will be used for this project, any left over funds will be sent to the next lift project or to the salvation army or similar organization. thank you in advance and GOD bless!!! Rollie
  18. Buy a ION electric auger You will not be sorry you did. Fast, light, same price! No gas and oil to mess with, no propane tanks to forget. Best piece of equipment for ice Fishing I have ever bought!!! Tested on eight inches of good ice 150 holes later still had 1/4 battery life left
  19. Had a meeting with an engineer from Wemco Industries on sat. this company specializes in lifts. trolleys. cranes and industrial repair. Dean was very helpful and well informed on design and configurations. After a lengthy discussion on all the variables and the need for redundancies He had the general idea of what I need to accomplish this project. He will have a cad drawing and load limits to me in two weeks, so the project is at a stopping point until I receive them..... GOD bless Rollie
  20. sylvan troller, please send your ideas, pics. and a web site for the hoyer lift to [email protected] the more input I can receive the better my chance will be to get it right the first time! GOD bless Rollie (need to figure out how to send a pm)
