  1. Boat is owned by a friend of mine who is the second owner. He has had it for two seasons. He bought it from a widow of the origional owner who used it on the finger lakes at their cottage. It is for sale because my friend and I have just purchased a SportCraft 272. The Penn Yan runs like a top. I will be selling my Sport Craft 230 Fisherman in the spring. I will take some Penn Yan Pics this weekend and post monday. The boat was pulled out on sunday and is sitting at Mike's Marina if you are interested.

  2. On the line end a swivel is needed to eliminate line twist. On the lure end the idea is to have the lure twist and turn with the attractor, thus sometimes no swivel. There are some brands with a swivel. I personally like the "Gold Star" items with the wrap in connection that looks like an open spring to attach the lure leader. Wish all brands would use them. On the morn of 9/8 we caught a nice King that did not fight too well in front of the Salmon River. He had a prfectly good fly in his mouth. The loop was in tact. I guess somene forgot to close the clip. He probably just finished his previous fight.

  3. Jason: I have tipped a few cold ones with Sammy (Sunshine Charters) in the good old days when Nick Riggi was running the North Sandy Pond Marina. Glad to have you aboard

  4. I also ran out of Sandy Pond very early saturday. It was still dark as I was going thru the channel. Put down at 100FOW. Put one down to 42 ft, was putting the second one down, the first was sreaming. 6 lb acrobatic steelhead. After fully setting up, trolled to 150 FOW without a release. Trolled back to 111 and had a double with 3-4 lb browns. Trolled a few more hours with only one more small brown. Not much of a morning. Tried in front of the Salmon early Sunday, but only one small steelhead. Not much boats out saturday or sunday near the pond. Only saw one boat coming out a bit after me. was probably "Bob Pugh". Hopefully the kings will be moving this way soon.
