  1. I launched at wrights landing. There are still docks laying in front of the launch ramps, but if you have a smaller boat (<20ft) you should be able to squeeze through without a problem.
  2. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: The Dirty Worm ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):3/17 Time on Water:0630-1100 Weather/Temp:cold...real cold Wind Speed/Direction:5mph south Waves: <1 Surface Temp: 36 Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 3 Total Boated:2 Species Breakdown:Brown Trout Hot Lure: Trolling Speed:2.2 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 15 Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Went out of Oswego this morning. Temperature was a constant 36 everywhere I went. I started off in front of Nine Mile. The bouys are very hard to see, barely above the surface. I trolled the whole bouy line, and there wasn't a temperature break from the plant. Temp was a constant 36. no bites, so I ran back to the harbor and trolled the mud. Picked up two browns 3-5lbs. Lost one fish, looked like a coho from the way it was jumping. Not too much debris in the lake or the harbor, some little stuff, but I didn't see any trees out there.
  3. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:The Dirty Worm ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):8/10/10 Time on Water:3hrs Weather/Temp:80 Wind Speed/Direction:calm Waves: none Location: Oswego =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 2 Total Boated:2 Species Breakdown:KINGS Hot Lure: Bugsy's Baits Spoons. Trolling Speed: 2.2 Down Speed: 2.2 Boat Depth: 120-200 Lure Depth: 110 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== The Kings are finally showing up out of Oswego. I took my father out to try and get him his first King. We were set up for about 5 min, when he got a screamer. 20min later we netted a 32.6lb King, not bad for his first Lake O. fish. Got one more about an hour later 25lbs. Both fish came off of Bugsy Spoons.
  4. You're right, this site is for GIVING and receiving information. If you look through the history of fshnwmn's posts, you wont find a single fishing report. I just dont think the individuals who NEVER post any fishing reports should be complaining about a lack of information.
  5. My recommendation would be to actually go fishing, and try posting your results
  6. It sounds to me like Mr. Murry shouldn't be slashing people's tires.
  7. What time of license is required to charter in NY on Lake Ontario?
  8. I would just make sure you have a marine radio. That way you can monitor the weather and have the ability to call for help if needed.
  9. For some reason, I haven't done much this year on flies either. Spoons seem to being doing well for me, off of the riggers or the copper. I still run my dipsy's with flahers and flies, just to try and attract fish closer to my spoons. Nice job, though, I'd be real happy with 9 fish.
  10. I fished little sodus for perch last weekend. Between a buddy and me, we kept 50-60 fish 10-13". There wasn't much action in most of the bay, we got our fish right in front of the shoot. All of the fish were completely spawned out. I think we got them as they were returning to the lake. My recomendation would be to try in the main lake 20-30 feet of water not too far from the enterance to little sodus. I recommend using minnows about a foot off of the the bottom. Good luck.
  11. Just wondering if anyone has been fishing off of Fairhaven, either in the bay or the lake, for Perch?

  13. It's not the color of your motor its the CO2 that it emits. Flies and other insects are naturally attracted to CO2 because they think it comes from an animal breathing. To bad you cant troll with just an electric motor.
  14. Went out 7/15 in the morning for Browns, went 3/5 plus a 9.4lb walleye. Walleye took a glow Stinger, and the browns were hitting anything green or lime colored. 7/16 went out for the evening run. Had my 6yr old and 4yr old for crewmates. Went 2/8 on Browns, probably would have netted a few more fish, but my crew's a little unexperienced. Still a nice trip. Browns were still hitting green, and an all copper NK-28 took a couple of hits as well.
  15. I've never had another boat "just come out of nowhere". Were they hiding behide a tree, or maybe a large hill? It sounds to me like you need to rely a little less on your auto pilot and focus a little more on where you are going. 600ft of copper is a LOT of line, but it does catch fish. I'm not suggesting you dont use it, but it's YOUR line, and if your going to drag that much behind you, you need to be more vigilint on where you are going.
  16. 1. Make sure you have the same length of line for each bag. If one is longer it will pull different. 2. There should be a nylon loop on the small opening of the bag. If you tie a "tag line" to this and tie the other end of the tag line off to the side of the boat, so that the small opening of the bag is just under the water. This will allow you to hold both of the bags at the same depth in the water. If one bag is running deeper because of wave action or turning, it will pull at a different angle and affect the pull on the boat. The tag line will also prevent the bags from swinging out to the side. I'm not sure how well I described this. But essentially you have the front and rear of your bag tied to the boat, and that keeps them fairly stable and should stabilize your pull. If you have any more questions, please send me you number, and I will be glad to talk to you. Good luck The Dirty-Worm
