  2. I found the blank Plano boxes on E-bay Saturday for $3.95. Just add the polypropolyne strips. I think it is a Plano 3731?
  3. You may want to look at Simrad AP12 or Ap14. They have been around for years (formally Navico) They make them for mechanical and hydraulic steering. Check Consumer marine products. I have owned Ratheon (sport pilot plus) and Simrad/ Navico. No comparison. Good luck.
  4. Yes it would work on any downrigger, manual or electric. Thanks, Dave
  5. They look like the blanks missing from the dash of my boat. Did you make enough for your buddies?
  6. Hey Stan You would be very pleased with the Simrad unit. That is what is on my boat. The upcharge for the 14 display is info already available on you gps. If you have any questions give me a call. The navico unit that came with my boat lasted 10 years and was replaced with an ap12 in 2006. no complaints. Dave

Includes display, probe, transducer, brackets, power cable, and manual. Everything needed. $300 mo
  8. It's a COWALSKI, FIGHTS LIKE A COHO, TASTE LIKE WALLEYE. Unfortunetly, they haven't been able to teach it to swim.
  9. My needle sticks sometimes. Just tap on the display and make sure it is not sticking.
  10. I bought a Lowrance LCX-37c. 8.5" color. It is very impressive. I have used lowrance for years, and can recommend the manual mode also. I also found better detail with a 200khz. wide angle. instead of the dual freq.
  11. Hey coup I fish out of Hughes in the 22' Red lund with the radar pole. I happen to have a lcx17m for sale. Just bought a new color unit. Stop and see me next weekend or drop me an e-mail if you are interested. [email protected]
