  1. I like the idea of not having rivets in a "Great Lakes" boat. It's fine in my 16' utility boat because it's not getting caught out in rough seas, or taking a beating like Lake Ontario can throw at us. I'm looking for an outboard Sabre with a hard top.
  2. 2 Penn Manual Riggers, Bases, Gimbal Mounts These Penn downriggers include swivel bases and gimbal mounts. Each downrigger has Scotty weight hooks on the 4ft booms, new Scotty 200ft stainless rigger cable, new Cannon terminators, new Cannon Retro-Ease ball retrieval lanyards and Penn rod holders. These riggers are in great condition and have only been used once since I rebuilt them. Asking $150 for each complete downrigger set, OBRO. Located in Carthage, NY.
  3. Bump. Don't be scared of a Bayliner. She's well maintained and ready for a test drive.
  4. Lots of interest in the boat, but no takers.
  5. By the sounds of it, no one on LOU has had any problems with the SST transom welds cracking. There seems to be a few cases talked about on another forum, but I'm not a member on the walleye forum. It comes up when I do a goo gle search. I noticed that 1988 was the first year for their SST (extended) transom. Then they extended the sides of the SST high in 1990.
  6. Distance from the back wall (bulkhead) to the inside of the transom is 62.5", or just over 5ft.
  7. I've seen a few brands but the Amish bags looked like the better made bags. I tied a loop in one end so I can hook it through my middle side cleats and it puts them at the right length every time.
  8. They are very well made. Mine came with extremely long lines so I trimmed the lines a bit and melted the ends with a grill lighter. I taped the ends before I cut them because they will unravel in a hurry if you don't.
  9. Congrats on the "new" boat, very nice! I use 28" Amish Outfitters bags on my 21ft Bayliner Trophy. It has a 5L/305 OMC Cobra I/O. I think 2 bags cost $100 for both (50ea).
  10. It measures 62.5" from the back wall to the inside back of the transom.
  11. Thanks for the feedback. They look like solid boats.
  12. Crestliner Sabre SST Transom Issues? I'm looking at some 22ft Sabres with the SST transom and I'm wondering if any of you have ever had any transom issues like welds cracking, or maybe replaced one of these transoms. Does the main transom have wood in it, or just the extended transom. Any information you can pass along would be greatly appreciated.
  13. When I lowered the price to $5,500 I took the downrigger bases and rod holders off the transom and gunwales. I also put the Helix 5 DI GPS unit on the dashboard. I'll be using my hand crank riggers on my next boat, as well as my Tite-Lok rod holders. This is what it looks like now...
  14. Thanks! It's real nice on those cooler days with that door closed.
  15. Yes, it takes more than a frost. It was really warm here this spring, so I got my boat ready for these season in late April. Then it snowed in early May. It didn't damage anything but I was worried for awhile.
  16. Thanks! I'm watching our 10 day forecast like a hawk so I can get it winterized before it gets too cold. It was 39 this morning, so it's just a matter of time.
  17. Bump. Sorry, no more pictures
  18. Hey Lew, maybe try to attach them directly from your PC, without using any app or photo sharing program. I attach pics straight from my hard drive and phone and never have any reports about my pics not showing up. Hope you had a good summer.
  19. It was the Bayliner at the dock on the left, W/A with outboard
