  4. i keep a pair of church walleye boards in my boat.small lip shallow divers.Great for pike as well running bomber long A`s,6"jakes and 5"muskellunch.Don`t use`m much as i`m normally running solo but this year allowed 3 lines i may try it more.2 flatlines and 1 planer?dunno....2 lines i can run a better pattern without worrying `bout the 3rd.I`m gonna give the swimwhizz a try behind one-might pull too much tho. sol

  7. I do like the line recovery & speed on the 40 saltist along with the drag.Would work great on the river for jigging.I know mark arena uses the larger model up there. Thanks for the input. Bob S
  8. that`s what i want you to believe .. ...and if i throw anything like i did today i won`t be much good anyway.Damn that hurt guess i better not test it anymore for awhile.Picked up a new 9`xxh tackle ind rod and looking forward to trying it out.Probably gonna be my river rod.As far as those reels go i`m likeing the 35"per recovery & 6:2:1 speed along with 20#max drag on the saltist as opposed to 25" 4:2:1 15#drag on the tekota. That tekota in nice though!!Atleast i have some time to think about it. Bob S
  9. Gonna be updating my trolling reels and am seriously considering the saltist 40lc...otherwise the tekota 500lc.For those who use`em what are your thoughts? I`m itch`n to get fish`n!!Got the interior of my boat all tore up putting in new carpet, vinyl floor and rearranging my access hatches as well as installing my newly aquired evinrude 70hp(up from a 40hp-woohoo).I`ll also have a 2009 sealion galv trailer for a 14-16`that`ll be sold in the near future(came with the motor-junk`n the 77'proline boat)This trailer is brand new!! Bob S
  10. Getting rid of my voyager.I have a 1 man i can use & i`ll buy a yukon next year.Need to make room and put the xtra $ into my boat restoration. The clam is maybe 7yrs old has a large sled and opens to around a 6` ctr.Seats two with ease and plenty of room inside. It has a little wear but for $275 you can`t or should`nt complain.Comes with a cover and i`ll throw in the towbar as well!!!!!I`m in williamson,ny.This is a great deal for all so stop standing out in the cold and turn on the heat!Send msg for more pics or a viewing. Thanks Bob S
  11. Search is over....picked up an evinrude(`96) 70hp over the weekend.Along with it came a boat and 2009 sealion trailer.Boat will be pieced and scrapped and the trailer is for sale!!!trailer looks brand new and is most likely for a 16`boat.I will post pics @ a later date.$ is gonna be between 1k-$1300.
  12. Thanks don...i`ll more than likely start working on my boat this coming weekend.Pulling carpet and draining/removing gas tank.I had the head off in the fall and replaced the gasket but still had issues.I really would like to upgrade anyhow. If it is the fuel that`ll be great and i won`t be so hard pressed to locate another motor right away.Putting vinyl floor in with snap in carpet and replacing fwd casting deck and new configuration for storage compartments.Figure i better get started on this!. Bob S
  13. Thanks for the advice....i have a force 40 now that is pwr trim and would`nt consider anything but pwr trim-love it.My current motor is pumping water into my cylinders somewhere and i`m just gonna go ahead and upgrade.Hopefully someone can find me a motor.
  14. I am in the market for a 98 or newer yamaha or evinrude outboard with pwr trim/controls.Other makers will be considered. You may contact me through here or by cell @ 1-315-576-1208 Thanks Bob Solley
  15. Got any old tackle...i may be interested.Specifically i`m looking for bite`em baits also spelled bite`em bate.A revolving wood bate anchored to a frame of sorts. Both hooks located on the bottom of the wire frame.Line tie is like a pigtail.I need a few more colors to complete all colors but i have oddball colors not cataloged. Most sought after for me is the chocolate-green,red head, red tail. Also looking for red body, white head:Gold body, red head, red tail.Any color i`ll consider if it is in better condition than mine. For conditions i`m looking for prices are in the $85-$150+ range...depends on what ya got.Be reasonable!!!This is what they fetch!!Boxes are a different story altogether, these are 1917 baits, cardboard boxes are tough to find and out of my willing price range. If ya have any of these or just other tackle you want to part with give me a call.I am a small time collecter-NOT in it for the money,i don`t re-sell much unless it`s an upgrade!!..just love the art! Thanks Bob Solley(1-315-576-1208)

  18. like the new ralph...fitting lol.got sling off yesterday and out of work for 3more wks...ugh.Have learned one thing though...when i drop something DON`T try and catch it!!Atleast the weather is holding off,i`ll be ready in time for some hardwater.Auger fires right up & with this time off all gear will be ready to go.A rodent did chew a hole in one of my rubber gloves....old,no...just gracefully paceing myself.
  19. here`s the **** of it all....mom took a fall the very next day and broke here arm.what a pair we are.My right arm is in a sling as well as her left.Of course i am right handed and her left, pretty comical @times.All this time off is just what i don`t need...extra time on ebay looking for lures lol. ...keep an ear open for a good motor(60-70hp-pwr trim)

  21. was wondering if anyone can help me with pricing this item.I aquired this and an old transom light pole(copper/with screwed on glass bulb cover)along with old fishing items from a couple when i went to look at their vintage stuff. Her father was an avid fisherman up on the st.lawerenceThere is also an old rear plag pole from a wooden boat(mahogany?)Anyways i`ll be selling these for them and could use some help with @least the compass. It is a Dinsmore direct reading gimble mounted marine compass model G-75 in the box with spare parts and instruction sheet.I`ll get some pics taken and post them soon.i went on line and found classic automobile dinsmores that have a wide range of prices and don`t know if the one i have will command as much. Thanks for the help. Bob S(solgrande`)
  22.
