  1. Went up to black lake for 4days with 5 school buddies(one has a cottage in edwardsville).Weather was awesome as it never is when we go anywhere so that was a bonus.Usually it`s a cold front rolling in whenever we go-we do this everyyear.Anyways....fishing was great but all small pike and nailed the crappies-had us a nice shorelunch.I started out casting a prizm 5" shallow raider and a new 5"smuttly dog glider.I kept these on for two days.Outside one of the coves that we were targeting i had a blowup on the smuttly that was a big fish(figured i found a bid northern).Did`nt break the water but the fish spun and created a large boil and put a few teeth marks in my bait, caught a small pkie on the raider and a few others on a bomber lond A firetiger as the other two in my boat.Had another good size fish follow but not like that one.Came back to that spot sunday and caught a few small pike but that was it.Monday morning i went back alone...they needed their rest after a long day and a few cocktails the day before.Started out with the smuttly in the same area but a little farther out(50yds or so)and started drifting....within a few minutes i found out what i had missed on sunday...as i set the hook or as i tried to set the hook the fish did`nt move but my drag did as i was geared for pike and did`nt have my drag locked as i might while musky fish`n.The back of the fish and tail came outta the water and it was clearly a really nice muskie.I never got the hooks into it good and soon lost it.From now on even while pike fishing i`m gonna lock it down.I put my rod down ,moved into the cove and proceded to slam the crappies .lol for the rest of day and tuesday a fished crappies. That was a very cool surprise to an awesome 4days on black lake. I`m looking forward to boating some tigers now!Oh yeah....my new cu301e curado is great. sol
  2. $220 for pickup.I`ll drive 50mi from sodus bay to meet for pickup if needed.
  3. getting rid of my big nasty rod(great shape),looking into something else and would consider a trade for a new shimano 400 calcutta(LH) or a curado cu301e(LH).I got this rod from larrys tournament(marked hand crafted for chautauqua musky tournament)and have probably only used it 5x or less. This is a 9'rod TMU90HF lure wt.3-8oz,fast action.i have two others in this length and don`t need a 3rd.I`d rather get rid of it before it gets broke just sitt`n around.Local pickup ok. $250 +shipping Bob S 1-315-576-1208

  14. As i`m sure all of you are aware christmas eve day was a tragic day for west webster first responders responding to a house fire where two lost their lives and two are in the hospital along with an off duty greece policeman whom was also involved.I usually hold the auctions for our baitfish fund or for our muskies inc chapter.I`d like to do something a little different this time.I`d like to help out those families affected by running a couple auctions on ebay with donated muskie baits from our chapter and LOU members and i need your help.I`ve spoke to afew people on the phone & already have a great start with the help of zach and capt larry. What i need are a couple GOOD/new baits that will help increase funds.ALL proceeds will go directly to the west webster firemans auxulary for those families when all auctions are complete so it may take a couple weeks.I know alot of you are from the webster/rochester area and i work in webster so it hits very close to home.So how about it.....i`ve got a new niagara walleye plow for starters.A few things will be listed seperatly and i`ll bundle a couple more depending on what i recieve.I will start with the plow and g loomis tin rod sign(new-discontinued)on saturday and zach needs a couple days to produce one of his masterpieces-thanks man.I`m shooting for around 10baits!!as i`m a small outfit. :lol:I can`t think of a better way to show our support as a whole!! Contact me on my cell(no texts-i`m limited) for local pickup or if you need to ship something.May also lv me a pm.Thankyou Chad Thanks everyone Lets keep them all in our prayers Bob S 1-315-576-1208
  15. cable is 50ft.Found the hood ,a cover for the screen and a tripod for the cable so you can position it ctr of hole for ice fishing.just had it hooked up and it works fine(ir does as well). $150...half the price for this model while still in used/new condition.I take care of my stuff. Bob
  16. Selling my aqua view zt,don`t use it so it`s just been sitting around.would rather see it get some useComes with box,manual,charger,1 battery and i have the hood around here somewhere(i`ll keep looking).Don`t know on a price so make me a reasonable offer!!!Works good no issues-had my niece watching little fishes 2 summers ago. That was the last time i used it.Probably not used anymore than 5x.Alway`s took it ice fishing but it stayed in the clam. 17. love baitcasting!!!I to started with spinning gear way back when and have switched entirely to baitcasting gear for esox.Presently i`m using a gander mtn im8 8'for pike with an h2o extreme reel.I also use my heavier muskie stuff for pike as well, those oufits are an 8'6"tooth tamer all purpose(really nice rod) with a st croix avid ac300a spooled with 65#sufix braid and a 9'TI xxh with a shimano corvaulus cvl 4oo reel spooled with 80# cortland masterbraid.9' st croix bignasty rod as a backup(nice rod but a shorter butt which i do not like). All my rods have long butts, they are much easier to control and less fatigueing. The toothtamer and gander rods handle the mid sized stuff pretty good. sol
  18. The lower is open on both sides`til dec 15th but they should`nt be fishing the east river. The upper is closed! sol
