  1. The reason for oiling cylinders is to keep cast iron rings from freezing in the ring grooves due to condensation induced rust. The best access to these is through the plug holes. On a four stroke if you rotate the engine 90 degrees, fog the cylinder, and do this 8 times you will also coat all the valves and seats. It may not be necessary but it won't hurt anything and may save engine damage.
  2. If you have a pool and it's covered you should have a fair amount of rain water in it. Keep your bait there and use your skimmer to take out as needed. No maintenance needed and most will still be alive in the spring.
  3. I love the varied paint jobs on tigers. As many spots as bars on that one. Beautiful.
  4. I caught enough tigers there the past couple weeks i was able to con two guys to go out with me on 10/27. Three of us threw everything i owned for 5 hours and never saw a fish. Only thing i could tell was different was no green weeds were left. Time to go deep i guess.
  5. Sounds like a pretty good day. Wtg Zach. You know it's windy when Waneta is choppy.
  6. Nice looking fish tigerhunter!
  7. They are $8.95 now at fishusa.com. Good outfit. The 12" ones are best. The bigger one will get bit but it's a load to throw. Good for propwash trolling though. The smaller ones(8 inch) will get inhaled and injure fish. Don't buy them. "Golden ambulance" is the best color by far.
  8. I threw a lot of baits today but all three hits were on the same old eel from savage gear. I always have one of these on a rod now. And only $10.00!
  9. about five hours without even a follow.better shot of the messed up head. The fish i mean.
  10. Water temp is 56. Visibility around 8 feet. No one out. Got bit three times between noon and 1pm,caught two of them. One had a deformed jaw, both appeared to be eating well. Caught one in 10fow in front of the causeway opening and the other in 2fow near the tree with the rope swing on it.
  11. be good to that one. I'd have a place on Chautauqua and a Ranger 621vs if i wasn't such a richard.
  12. Bass are dumb as hell in the fall.
  13. I hit a few stout lmb around now each year. They hit muskie baits fished shallow.
  14. I have caught a few walleyes while slow rolling muskie size spinnerbaits on drop offs. Nothing really big though.
  15. congratulations and best wishes! On further review i should have blown off my wedding and gone fishing, but that's just me.

  17. Timely advice. The closest i've come to falling in was when the cord on my electric broke while retrieving it. If you have that setup check the cord. Mine was 4 years old when it let go. Stay safe out there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  20. And fwiw i came across two fish that were cruising with their heads out of the water. I stayed on them until they were gone but no takers. Sometimes these fish will eat if you keep after them. that's an old pic. I think i caught that one. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
