that's the view of the canal from my toilet. An under appreciated fishery to be sure. After a big rain it looks like chocolate pudding and nothing bites. But when it clears up some the fishing can be amazing.

I live on the canal in Palmyra. I don't fish it anymore since i got musky sick but i used to. Between Palmyra and Newark is pretty good for pike. You will catch more bass than pike for sure. I never trolled for them. I just stayed close to shore and cast. Both sides are good. There is a brand new ramp in Palmyra but no dock[emoji12]. There is a nice ramp with a dock by the Ford dealer near Newark. Wait til the season opens and good luck.

I fished there 4 hours this morning. Had a decent one on but lost it at the "boat". This kayak thing is new to me. Trying to balance getting the fish in the boat with falling in and drowning. Guess that's it until May.

i don't troll anymore but when i did I dragged two drywall buckets behind the boat. It worked.

lots of pike in the Conesus inlet today.

i tried Thursday for a few hours. Saw one dink that wouldn't eat.

these are my pike spoons. 4" red eyes,a docktor,and some suttons. Spoons work better with an o ring up front. The sutton is really a trout bait but with a big treble on it can be cast a fair distance.

Got my new Musky Shop catalogue today. The red October ad caught my eye.I love my twisted tubes but what's up with this photo? Looks like a nice muskie after dark but the guy has sunglasses on? Pretty sunny out there at midnight?

i did not measure her. Biggest one i have caught but she was beat after a tough fight and needed to get back.

When i lived on Seneca the guy next door had one of these. He loved it and never had any issues getting it in his boathouse. That's all I know about that.
