  1. A lot of illegal stuff goes on at public markets. Whoever bought it probably paid for it with our money. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Nice one. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas all. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. when i switched from mono to 80 lb braid i got cocky about how strong it was and cranked the drag down. That's when i found out how weak some of the hooks are that come on lures. You really have to adjust the drag to match the hooks you're using. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Every time i miss one i bust out my flat file and have at. I may have the sharpening thing backwards. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. a few years ago I tied an inline double 8 from the first buck my youngest son got. Later that year he caught his first musky on it. That was pretty cool. My other homemade baits have been busts. I keep trying,it beats watching Hallmark channel with the wife.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  9. My two cents;it's a crap shoot when it's cold but i say between 10am and 2pm. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. wind was tough tuesday. I saw four boats and one other yak out. Weather channel missed the wind forecast by about 20 mph. It was tough out there, had to stick tight to the causeway. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. I donated that bait to the table at the Mark Troy tourney.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. Fished there 5 hours this morning. I caught a two footer around 10am;only fish I saw. Half a dozen boats were out. Some came through the causeway and at least one came out of the marina. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Never heard of it until now. So I checked it out. Saw one video where you could see the lure coming in and a pike attacked it. So it could be useful for seeing follows maybe but you'd have to be watching the screen and not the water. Too much technology for me. I have two units on my boat and use about 5% of what they're capable of. My garmin unit has a 3d mode i have never used because i'd have to buy another card or chip or whatever they are. 14. Is there a tournament here on 11/5? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. I took a stab at it this morning but didn't last long in the wind. Water is up but not enough for my boat.no fish. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  17. Is the water really stained from the runoff? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. Real shallow,4/5fow. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. I caught some nice pike there two weeks ago. I was told yesterday the docks were out and water low. Guy said he used waders to launch. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. The bays in the north end are all mud. There is an air boat sitting in the mud in one bay. The entire steel ramp at the campground is exposed. No boats at docks, even Justin's is out. At the marina I would say you could get a 12' tin can with a tiller in. My 18' boat:no way. Npike said he got in Conesus yesterday and got a pike over 10lbs. Said docks were out and launched with waders on. Waneta was good for the Troy;is the tournament still on for November? I may have to finish this season in my yak. 21. I called the campground yesterday and asked about launching. She was honest and said small boats maybe and I should try the marina. I called there and was told the inner launch was good and I could launch before they open, just put money in box. We got there at dawn to find an inch of water at the end of the ramp. There is a wooden extension after the concrete but half of it is destroyed. Normally i fear no boat launch but not today. I might go back later with the yak. 22. Interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. I fished here for a couple hours this morning. Water is low but docks are still in and lots of boats launching. Caught three nice northerns near the launch, shallow on a spinnerbait. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. I fished there last week in my yak so no problem for me. It is very low but there were plenty of bass and pontoons out. I saw boats come and go at the marina. One of my sons called the campground today to set up an overnight for my birthday mid October. They told him the launch was closed and docks not usable. Guess we'll try Chautauqua for that trip. A 14' foot boat should be fine and if you get wet at least it's still warm. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  25. I feel your pain. I am up to 8 tournaments and have boated one fish that was too short to enter. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
