  1. we should be there around the same time also. I have a 18' blue lund.
  2. Blueghost, I think me and FLX are going out on my boat on sunday and launching from the north end. Keep your Radio on 68 if we dont see you at the launch.
  3. FLX, glad to see the fish we're still there! I tried to get those fish higher up in the water column to hit but just couldn't. Did you guys mark some bait through there also?
  4. you catch some monster rainbows in that lake. do have same success at other finger lakes? what were there 11-12 lbs?
  5. Got out for a memorial derby for a buddy's dad. We started south of the condos and headed south. fished from 100-200' with the deeper the better fishing. I was on my grandpas boat, who likes to run thermocline rigs, but does have 4 electric riggers also. we ran 2 thermocline poles and 4 riggers. Only 1 fish on the riggers. 70' down over 120' on a sd/fly. tried everything from flashers to plugs and couldn't get a hit. on the thermocline poles, different story. we ended up with 9 lakers and 2 smallmouths just over 4lbs!. small mouths were caught in 120' about 40-60' down! all lakers were taken on either yellow and orange on the bottom and black on the top. lots of bait and fish in the 40-55' range. All lakers ranged from 3 - 5 lbs, all but 1 were natural fish. best action was just north on vine valley on the east side, with middle of the lake just south of cottage city being second, more bait in the middle of the lake.
  6. Sean, thanks for the info. Your info and reports have helped me this summer!
  7. doesn't have the x's that a landlock has.
  8. Sean, you said you could run some boards. Are you running shallow in the water column for salmon? are you running spoons or plugs?
  9. nice report jerrysz, but no LLS in canandaigua lake, just beautiful browns and rainbows!
  10. That is an awsome steelhead! Hope he gave you an aerial show!
  11. decided to hit Canandaigua due to possible thunder storms. On the water about 6:45 and were on fish right away. fished till about 10:30. went 6-8. all fish were on the dipsey with sd/green fly out 300 over 90-150fow. tried lots of spoons, colors and distance behind the ball on the riggers. even tried the same sd/fly combo as the dipsey with not a taker. marked lots of fish on the north end in the top 60' but could not get any takers on the riggers. fishing shut right off at 9:30. 2 fish in the 5-6lb range, the others just cookie cutters, all lakers.
  12. just wondering what line you are running, i run light line, maybe to light for summer time fishing.
  13. how were the fleas/weeds? thinking of hitting canandaigua or seneca tomorrow.
  14. awsome fish FLX. how deep have you been fishing? I was out Sun. for 2 hours with two dinks. I tried a new spot, all marks were 40-70 over 150fow. both fish came on wire dipseys with sd/fly. we never did catch up for that trip!
  15. I find that interesting because the last trip on CA 3 weeks ago, all three lakers had 3-8 sawbellies in their stomachs. During the june derby, same thing. We had times during the derby where you could see the sawbellies jumping out of the water and clouds swimming by the boat. just curious if any size of the fish was revealed and how many bows and browns were keep.
  16. were the fish released back into the lake?
  17. I think I finally have at least 1 crew member so i'll be there!
  18. Robert, thanks for invite. I'm still trying to work one of buddies to make it. I should know by thursday if he's going. Again thanks for invite and let me know if its still open.
  19. FLX, nice fish! it's always nice to have somebody new on the boat and catch a nice fish! did you release? I have noticed that the fleas on the west side don't seem to be to bad. I was checking the lines every 20-30 minutes though.
  20. I had my crew back out on me last weekend and nobody to fish with this weekend either, so if anybody has an open seat I would love to get out on that lake, I'd help cover cost and willing to share my limited knowledge. never been out there before! hope everybody has a good time, and somebody take RR down!
  21. How were the weeds and the fleas on Cayuga? They actually weren't to bad on Seneca.
  22. lil' troller, did not know that was u at the awards, or I would of said hey. Nice fish, and a very nice check! I couldn't get out on Sat. but hit Seneca this morning around 6:30, by myself, and trolled the Bellhurst area, just keep doing cirlces with fish on just about every pass. caught 3 browns, 1 rainbow, which I can't believe got 6th place, and 3 lakers. off the lake by 11:00 for cousins graduation party. fish were mainly, 45-60 over 100-120fow. nbk, took most of the fish, with sd/peanut taking 2. today made it 4 for 4 in the derbies with 1 more to go.
  23. Awsome fish!!! hey ssafran21 how were the fleas? I have not been on the lake since the middle of June.
