  1. are you running the spin dr with the victrolla rig or off the riggers
  2. I was wondering what type of net is best rubber or the nylon type. Both were on the new boat but the rubber one seems to drag hard in the water(cost us a nice laker sat. on cayuga )The hooks seem to get caught in the nylon one worse. What are your ideas.
  3. we hit seneca on sunday with the new ride. First trip went well, first fish in the boat in about five minutees of the lines hitting the waterit was a laker 4lbs down 50 in 90fow. Lost a nice bow at the back of the boat after a nice fight with quite an aerial show.we went 4 for 7. we have great easrly mornings and then by mid morning it slows right down. any advice on what to try once it slows down. we have moved deeper, slowed downand up different colors, not sure of what else to do. May be some day i too will get up there with good number days.All in all the maiden voyage went well though i need some practice docking and loading the new boat . Just a little different from my 16'.It will just take practice i guess.

  8. Seneca Marine in watkins has a 3 or 4 spring victrola for sale $450. Looks like a nice setup. I have a two spring rig that a guy i work with made for me. I can talk to him and see if he wants to part with another one. Hoping to get up to the big O waiting to finalize the new boat purchase 21' Sylvan. I have never fished up there except for bass with my uncle when i was little.

  11. I tried that already, mutiple emails and phone calls with no answer back may be its time to go with a different brand. Any suggestions?
  12. I have a humminbird 565 that works pretty good until the wind picks up and the water gets a little choppy the it loses bottom. i t starts flashing 4.6 , 1.2 and etc. i have adjusted the angle a few times with no change.Any ideas on how to fix it.

  14. we were on the water at 6 and fished till 10:30 fished from myers and north. Had a SLOW morning. We had a 19" LL first thing before line was clipped to the boards. then it was hit or miss. We boated 3 fish and lost two before we headed home.We saw a few other boats out as well didnt look like much action with them either. Stayed pretty shallow 20 -70 fow used green chartruse sticks for LL and blue and silver alpena diamonds for laker that was around 4lbs. we will head back up in two weeks. Best man in wedding next weekend. hope action gets a little hotter.Any body else have any luck?

  16. Yea they were the ones that told us they were stopping production. They told us to buy everyone we could cause they couldnt get any more.

  18. I was told they quit making them anyone know any different. I believe they are made by Luhr Jenhsen. We have had good luck with them on the finger lakes.

  21. thanks for th info Cayuga was our other option so we will try there. are boards still producing on the south end? Probably launch from T-falls.
  22. We were thinking of heading to Keuka Saturday but not really sure where to start any ideas of depths ,color. How are they doing with copper now.We were thinking of launching in either keuka park or hammondsport not sure wich is better.
