Ray, I am for no communication i like the suspense it brings to the tournament. However a phone call can work both ways. Just because you get a call the bite is on in a certain area doesnt mean youre going to catch them. It can work both ways as an advantage or disadvantage. You never know when you might be getting hucklebucked by a fellow competitor!!!

AMEN!!! Dave and Ed you guys couldnt have said it better. We all fish in the tournaments because we love fishing. We all should be thankful we have a Pro Am to fish. I know I personally look forward to fishing them every year. It helps me get through the winter know that come spring I see everyone and have a great series of tournaments to fish. I DONT KNOW IF YOU WERE TAKING A SHOT AT ME OR NOT. THE 27 FISH WE CAUGHT 3 WERE SKIPPERS THE REST RANGED FROM 17-26 INCHES. 2 OF THE 3 SKIPPERS CAME ON THE MINI DIVER RODS. THESE FISH WERE DEEPER THAN THE LARGER LL'S WE WERE TAKING. ALL FISH LIKE I SAID BEOFRE WERE RELEASED AND WILL LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY. TIGHT LINES CASEY

dINGY10 SMALL SMITHWICKS BLACK AND SILVER HAVE BEEN HOT FOR US. USE MINI BOARDS AND STRECH THEM BACK 125 FT TO 150 FT BACK. WE RAN 3 INLINE BOARDS OFF EACH SIDE AND TWO SMALL DIVERS. BOARDS TOOK ALMOST ALL THE BITES. SPEED IS IMPORTANT AS WELL. OUR BEST SPEED HAS BEEN 1-8 2-2 ON THE SURFACE. I NORMALLY START AT THE CROWBAR WHICH IS JUST PAST THE CLIFFS( TO THE RIGHT OF T-FALLS LAUNCH.) 80-250FT OF WATER HASNT SEEM TO MATTER. WHEN YOU FIND A FEW STAY ON THEM CIRCLE BACK AND GO THROUGH THEM AGAIN. WE WENT 2 WEEKS AGO AND WENT 27-34 IN LITTLE OVER 3 HOURS. GOOD LUCK AND TIGHT LINES ALL FISH WERE RELEASED.

Any port on Lake Ontario is great. I fish many of tournamnets all across the lake and enjoy my time spent every time out. Sometimes as fisherman we forget what its really about. To me catching a fish is just a bonus. The friendships Ive made from each port, along with all the memories is something I wouldnt trade for anything. Fishing is what you make of it. Some of us fish because its our job, others fish because it just a hobby but at the end of the day we all do it because we have an inner love for it. The feeling a king salmon screaming line out, the diver rod cracking over, the big one that got away, and the list goes on. Thats what keeps us fishing. We should all be thankful that we have such a great fishery at hands reach. BEST PORT nah BEST LAKE... LAKE ONTARIO!!!!!

lmfao.... i think rick was to worried about us PA boyz killing and grilling all those perch dave. i would have caught a few more myself but i had red hairs in my eyes. lol lets hope the east end gets fish. Rick and the west end boyz beat them up before we get our chance at them.

We fished last Sat Sun and Mon. The temp was down 215 over 400fow on Sat. We did find a pocket of cold water at the trench. 145fow bottom 3 feet 52degrees and loaded with fish. Tried everything but they didnt cooperate. Sun found temp had come up 170down over 400. Had rigger at 185 with 20lb shark take 3 wacks but no one home. Mon temp was about the same marked a town of fish just west of oswego but no takers. Its gonna be a late season this year and I cant wait!!
