one last question...... how far you guys run you cowbell behind ball....... based on what I've read 10 feet is common with two feet to spin and glow from cowbell.........

Being new to this I wanted to ask the question....what exactly is the spring season for brown trout? Can some of you give me your experience in terms of when you try to get out versus when the fishing typically shuts down. Have Friday off and have to pick up some things in Ogdensburg so I am going to take the boat along and check out Mexico for the first time......Doesn't look too promising and I won't take any chances but I figure I'll give it a shot. Thinking of take a long weekend in april and celebrating my birthday by driving down from Ottawa, Ontario to Salmon river/lake Ontario to catch some fish. Could you guys offer some techniques for a newbie in terms of depths/tackle/speed at this time of year. Fishing out of a 17 foot deep v with riggers onboard and planer boards available. Another newbie question. When I was out there was pretty much constant baitfish in the 25-40ft range. Should I be concentrating on theses areas or just keeping one line up Jordan

Well, we tried Wellington saturday....nice morning but no fish....Channel 71, nobody had much luck with a few browns and rainbow....weather turned sour about 3pm. Will try again next couple of weeks.

First time out on Lake Ontario on Saturday. Thinking of Wellington or Brighton. I have a 17ft deep V with elecric rigs. Any advice would be great as I want to impress my woman with at least one good fish. Any help would be appreciated...depth, tackle and best location. Any pref. between these two areas?
