New to Muskie fishing here, but I am all in. So...I am hoping to attend this as my 1st tournament. Where can I go to find out more info about the rules and such.
If I missed any of these answers in one of the previous posts I apologize in advance.
Do I need a bump board? If so where can I buy it (I am from buffalo/Chautauqua)
My boat is in the water in Asheville...do I need to drive it up to mayville for the start?
How do I register the fish I catch?
Most important...who do I give the correct spelling of my name to for the winning trophy?!?!??!!! [emoji16]

As for registering fish, I will provide tournament pins for this event and each fish entered must be pictured with the release pin and a release form filled out which will also be provided to you the morning of the event. If it was me, I'd just drive to mayville and keep the boat down south sir.
Thanks for the interest and I know this could go smoother but we all live and learn as we go and being a rookie at this position has proved challenging to say the least.

I apologize but I am going to have to ask everyone to please come to Mayville in the am for sign up.
I know the issues this represents and hopefully this can be addressed for future dates.
Once again, I do hear and understand the issue presented but I also will be making the drive down south to fish.

As for winning this tourney - your up against some experienced musky fisherman that know how to put fish in the boat so best luck!!!

How long do you guys that troll flouro leaders make them? Zach I picked up the jewelry pliers and will make the steel leaders like you show. How long do you recommend those be?
Thanks
Mike

Trolling leaders are long but for casting leaders, just make sure Ur leader is a few inches longer than your bait, this way if the back hooks wrap around your line on a cast or tangle your main line is not compromised.

That maybe too much OleMan, tough to tell bc we don't have early sign up which woulda given us an estimate. I voted for early sign up thru paypal but that was shot down last meeting by the board.

Thx again gentelman for all the help to pull these things off! No one person could do it all.

Such a tough question to answer, we r guessing from 50 to 80 people but honestly have no idea bc this tourney has been promoted hard on social media

5 for 7 on Chautauqua and I lost a good one! 4 hits came on the same Tennessee Shad, Hot perch n Firetiger got the others- all on 5" Bakers.

We use the 30" size for tourneys to follow the musky inc format for tourneys, plain n simple?
Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
Yes sir, we understand that and will do our best to get signs posted at otisco reminding people of that.

2 legal tigers, 33 n 35 along with some subs. Fishing hasn't been that good on otisco this year at all. Tough bite with some good fisherman there that can fish as good anyone out there.
