  5. I have a boat I'm getting ready to sell. It's a 89 sea nymph 175. '89 70 hp Johnson. Boat is Clean. I just had all three carbs rebuilt less than a year ago. Has 2 downriggers, big John planner mast, marine radio, 2 fishfinders, 2 live wells, min kota bow mount foot controlled trolling motor mounted with the removable base. New full cover custom-made 2 years ago. Also had a bow cover made to put on on rough days. Convertible top with new side window. New Kenwood head unit and polk speakers. 2 batteries and a minkota charging system. Also has a trolling plate. I've caught a lot of walleye out of Barcelona and plenty of kings on lake o. I've had this bait in 4'-6' waves and for a small boat it takes the waves great. I'm just wrapping up a restoration on a 22 sabre and I'm going to be looking to sell this boat to gear up the Sabre. 10. I bought a 22' Sabre a year ago from someone on this site. It's just been sitting in a garage for the past year. I've finally started working on it this past month. I just thought i would share some of my progress on my first restoration project. Here's a picture of the boat at the start. I just had just started sanding down the top. I sanded down the entire boat. The worst part of this entire step was removing the pin stripe. What a tedious job that was. I talked a tech at Jamestown distributors and he directed me in the proper primers to use. Most of the research I did online said to use zinc chromate on the aluminum. From what I was told by the tech, zinc chromate is being faded out and told me to use Interlux 2 part interprotect on the bare aluminum. I then put a coat of Interlux Prekote as a second coat of primer. I decided to use Interlux Brightside as a top coat. I original planned on black hull and a beige on the bow and cuddy. I'm applying the paint using the roll and tip method. A little bit of a learning curve but not bad. If i could start it over I'm sure I could get a flawless job the second time but I'm a finish carpenter and not a body man. After looking at it I decided it was way too much black and i needed to break it up so I added some beige to the hull. I have one more coat of beige to go and i can start laying carpet inside. I replaced all the deck with new plywood. Rebuilt the boxes for the seat bases. I also had the upholstery re-done on the seats. This has been a ton of work and I'm getting close. I've really been enjoying myself too. Let me know what you guys think! [ Post made via Android ]
  11. You can actually buy 5'x12' sheets of 3/4" azak. The stuff would be extremely slippery. I thought about using it on my boat. You would defiantly have to put like a rhino lining or something like interlux non slip paint. Home depot actually has a product called deck renew. Can be rolled on. Kinda like the rhino lining by more pliable. They can tint it too. [ Post made via Android ]
  12. Thanks guys. I emailed vinyl approach a while ago with dimensions and pictures and no response. I'll try iguana. [ Post made via Android ]
  13. As i have mentioned in other posts, I am restoring a crestliner sabre. I am trying to find decals for it. Anyone know a good website?? Can't seem to find anything on Google. [ Post made via Android ]

  15. Can some of you guys post some.picture of the hard tops you've made?? [ Post made via Android ]
  16. Thanks for the continued input. I may try the 7.5 because I can pick it up cheap and i know the motor. I was worried it wouldn't be enough power. I'd love to drop the cash on a brand new 9.9 but I'm putting a ton of money in the boat right now. [ Post made via Android ]
  17. Good input guys. Thanks. buckboard what's SOG? Also talking about charging systems , how do the majority of people keep a charge on their electronics while running a kicker?? Right now on my small boat I use a trolling plate so my main motor is always running keeping the battery charged. On this boat i plan on switching from manual to electric riggers, and adding a fishhawk. Between that, sonar, gps, marine radio and radio that's a lot of draw. [ Post made via Android ]
  18. I'm renovating a 22' Crestliner Sabre g/l. I want to start looking for a kicker motor but not really sure what's sufficient. I was thinking a 9.9 but would I better off with a 15?. Also have a chance to by a very well maintained 7.5 but not sure if its enough. I hate to buy one and then wish I would have gotten something bigger. On the other hand I hate to spend the money on a bigger motor if I don't need it. Any input would be appreciated! [ Post made via Android ]
  19. Dura fix. Just have to heat aluminum to 730 degree. [ Post made via Android ]
  20. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):March 18 & 19 Time on Water:3 & 6 Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: 0 Surface Temp: 42 Location: Olcott LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 30+ Total Boated:20+ Species Breakdown:Mostly Browns, 2 coho and 3 Steelhead Hot Lure: Thunderstick Jr, Scorpion spoons and F 9 and 11 repalas. Any color Trolling Speed:2.0 - 2.5 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 6-10' Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Arrived at Olcott around 2 on Sunday. A couple guys at the launch told us they did over 20 fish about 3 miles east in front of a small creek. I believe it may be Keg creek. So we headed east out of the Harbor. Started to set our lines and had a 6 lb brown on before we could even get the second line in the water. It was just non stop action from there. Good mud line the entire way east. Lots of cookie cutters with a few decent fish in the mix. We got the 2 Coho that afternoon. On our troll back West we landed a nice 12 lb brown between the Concrete island and the Olcott pier. ==================== We continued our troll west past the harbor and picked a way at a few more. Finished out the day with our limit and plenty of trout for the smoker! Monday was a little slower. The water had seemed much more clear by the harbor. Went east again and found some Mucky water. Still didn't have the distinct mud line like the day before. The average fish on Monday was a little better in size but a lot slower action. We picked away at them for the day. Found a couple steelhead in 20' fow but headed back into the 6 - 10' range. All in all it was a great first trip to Lake O to start the year! Good times with good friends!
