I have an older lowrance gps model now. The unit does everything that I need, but it kept loosing signal last summer, then the Navianics chip stopped working. So I am thinking of going with the lowrance .
Do you guys use the DI a lot?
I am thinking of buying a new sonar. I am up in the air between the hummingbird helix7 or the lowrance hook. I am going to get the sonar, gps, and di. Any info and feedback please?
I am leaning toward the lowrance because you can buy it with the Navionics chip together, but The Hummingbird looks like a nice unit also
Ok. I will probably have to mail order them. I hate to order to much through the mail. The boss of the house checks the mail.I hate to let her know how lures are going in the box!!!!!!!!!!!! He He!!!!!
I have one of the glt's in med light I think. It makes a nice rod for trout and walleye. I think it would be kind of light with a big king on. I also believe would be awful light for paddles.
Thanks guys. We have drove 4 hrs many of times with my buddies 19 footer to mexico bay just to see the waves coming over the wall. I am no stranger to the conditions and how fast they can change!!!!!!!!!!!
Guys I spent last year getting my boat all setup for fishing. I have finally got it close to what I want. I was wondering if you guys think it would be able to handle Ontario for spring browns. It is a smokercraft angler 16ft. I had it on some rough water last year and it seemed to handle it ok, but I have been out on Ontario many of days and know the gig!!!
I bought one walleye board tonite and made some 2 and 3 ounce snap weights tonight to run tomorrow. Can't wait to give them a try. I want to thank all the members on here that showed how to make snap weights. I used alligator clips , shrink tube, and some bottom bouncers I had kicking around.
Anybody ever have there chip stop displaying maps all of a sudden? It beeps when I put it in and I have gone through the map menu but can't get it to work again.
Bought a brand new eagle claw trolling rod last Saturday. Used it for the first time today. When I went to pickup I grabbed the rod to snap it of the release and guess what happened. Snap! In two. Anybody else ever do this???
Tried the boat out tonite. It didn't seem to lose signal but now the navionics chip wasn't working. Any input on this? I think next season a new graph may be in order. Grrr.
