  1. Good info, they must have pushed up shallow. I will give it another look when the west wind gets the lake back into a normal pattern.

  3. Hey Guys, I am trying my darnedest to pattern the Lake O smallmouth and I am trying to do so specifically off of Braddocks Bay and Sandy Creek. I fished off of Braddocks yesterday (I really believe there is some amazing smallie action to be had out there) and I hit spots that have incredible bottom structure. These spots should have at least had a few fish on them, but it was a wasteland out there. Granted, I was fishing after a lake flip and it was an east wind but I still felt that they should have been out there. Instead, I was looking at an empty graph everywhere I went. So my question is, do the smallmouth move off the shoals during the flip, possibly into the creeks and bays? And considering the browns are still in 15-30 ft of water, is it still to early to be fishing the main lake for smallmouth? I figured a few fish would still hang tight out there even in cold water but apparently I was wrong. I just gotta figure those dang smallies out! P.s. I do know there are smallies out there as we caught some pigs last summer and we did not fish half the spots we know of now. I am also not convinced the gobies are that much of an issue.
  4. Hey thanks for the heads up. I am aware of the price drop, I am in more of a trade situation right now so I am not looking at spending any money. But ya I agree. This boat should be priced around 6-7K with all that is on it. So I just want to keep my wits about me. Nothing is a done deal and I really love my boat which I would potentially trade. But this could also be a good opportunity. Also let it be known that this is in no way a reflection on the seller. I just want some extra knowledge.
  5. Hey guys, I may be interested in aquiring a 1983 sportcraft 222 with a 4.3l merc and 4 down riggers. Now I am thinking that this could get me into the salmon scene but I also don't want to walk into this blind. What things do I need to be super diligent about checking and what are warning signs that I should check for? Please let me know as I want to be a diligent and informed buyer.
  6. I have a 1990 18 foot smoker craft bass/walleye combo. Boat is in really good shape. I might be interested in working something out trade-wise. PM me if interested.
  7. That's usually me fishing the sandy plume and there is a reason I keep doing it 8 lb browns and rainbows on light tackle just does not get old
  8. I would be interested any of the F9s you have in the colors I mentioned, I have a few thunder sticks I would throw your way. Would this be a one for one trade? I will have to send you pics of what I have in the next few days
  9. Hey guys, looking to pick up some raps in the specifications above. If you are are not using yours, consider selling them to me! Look for two to three raps in each size and color stated above. Let me know what you have!
  10. Well after some research it does not seem like the prep is overly terrible and with a power sander I feel prep would not be that bad. Throw in the roll tip method and I think this is pretty doable for not too much time and money. Am I wrong? I keep reading conflicting reports all over the internet. It seems like 50% think that this comes out great at the DIY level and 50% feel this should be done by a professional. Maybe I am being to positive and naive.
  11. Hey Guys, I am thinking about giving my girl a fresh coat of paint and a new look. My questions are as follows: 1. What tools are an absolute necessity when resurfacing and repainting aluminum? 2. Would it be very difficult for a person who has never painted a boat? 3. Is it too expensive to justify painting an older boat? 4. How expensive is it? (boat is 18 ft) 5. Is the boat actually painted sitting on the trailer bunks? (I assume yes) 6 How long would the project take? (I would be motivated to move quickly) Here she is (she is little more beat than the pic indicates) Thanks in advance guys!
  12. I have read everything that guy has to offer! I love the thought that I can use a pound of loose powde and with 44 grains of it achieve velocities that my omega needed 150 grains of 777 to get to. I am so excited for the low cost, high accuracy firearm I just invested in. With that said I loved my omega so much. Was an absolute tack driver and it killed everything I asked it to. If I had to recommend a muzzy beside the savage it would be a TC Omega for sure. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  13. So I sold my Stainless Omega with thumbhole stock with my Nikon BDC 250 scope for a Savage ML II camo stock and blued barrel. My wife's grandpa gifted me his mint condition Leupold scope to mount on it. So my question is did I make a good decision and has anyone on here ever used one? [ Post made via iPhone ]
  14. Just the small guys been showing themselves for me. One nice ten almost gave me a shot, but my trophy is being very sneaky. Would not be shocked if I do not see him in the daylight at all.
  15. Na this guy is towards the Brockport/Holley area [ Post made via iPhone ]
  16. Finally got my pic of him, now I have to figure out how to put him down...
  17. I dont know about that man. I was a big bead believer two years ago, but the last two seasons they have been bad for me. Plus I have so many freaking colors I can never decide on what color is best and what size. Also changing beads is a pain, gotta cut the hook and then retie just to swap colors. 18. Will this make the egg tough enough to withstand being pierced by a hook? I wanna fish single eggs (not sacks) and I have a ton of eggs to use up. [ Post made via Android ]
  19. What are you asking for the 4500's? If the price is right I might take both [ Post made via Android ]
  20. Hey guys I gotta say I really want to catch a walleye! It seems to be the only species that regularly eludes me and I just really want to hook a few! I would prefer to jig but I have trolling gear as well. I would really like to go no further than 45 min from Rochester as I am in Brockport.PM me if you can help me out with info on a place to catch them! Or feel free to comment below.
