    Good deal for that new of a trailer! Awesome job. I found one right here local for 2500. The guy is a boat broker and has trailers laying around. Maybe I will pull the cord and get it or wait till I get some charters in and pick it up..

    They recommend not cutting them. If you had to they must he soldered, but I imagine you're going to ad quick connects fittings. Sounds like it will fail. Re route your cable so you can hang it in the cabin? [ Post made via Android ]

    Hey guys, To anyone who may have issues with their riggers acting as if it is going down slow, or maybe you see a wobble in the spool.. REPLACE the spool immediately before you cause more damage to other components. Here is a picture of my cracked spool. Easy to service and for 35 bucks. Nick

    Fleas do stick but they come off easily... I just spray it with the washdown or pluck the braid like a guitar while its coming up... Fleas on the flx are worse than ontario.. [ Post made via Android ]

    I just replaced the spools on my riggers, and installed new braid on them. I removed four hundred feet of braid off each rigger. If anyone needs any braid for anything. I have it wrapped around bottles.. Just let me know, you can have it.. Nick

    I would say you're doing great at 4 years. I would say load test them and see how they respond. But personally, I am a firm believer that load testing a battery reduces the life of one. I wouldn't see why you couldn't get another season, but a piece of mind for reliable batteries is always great while out on the water. I service mine every three seasons. Nick

    I'm going to assume with that boat, you have a steering that is cable driven, hydraulic assist. Unless someone had done the upgrade. With your size engine, should be able to look behind your engine and see the hydraulic cylinder assisting the steeering cable ram to the inside control ARM in the transom for the outdrive..     Poverty, Frog hollow in watkins might have a used one, and I saw on our local CL add's that there were one or two merc units available.. Do you know the ratio you need? I know of a guy who has a lower unit as he replaced his and saved the on with a missing skeg.. May get you by? Nick
