Well, brent and Eric took up the offer last night to join me. After helping the neighbor with his boat that decided to take on a few gallons of water over night we got a late start about 630. Stuck to the high line program again. Sticks and spoons. Took two shots on sticks and nobody home. Got one on a spoon that was inhaled! Off the rigger 7 down back 30ft. Instantly ran with some line. Here is a shot below. Water Temps in canal 44 and lake 37.8 Dirty water we worked was 40 to 42. Only strikes in warmer water. Well today was a bit slow. Not much action. On salmon in the first 10 minutes then nothing. Enjoyed a flat day on the water. Took my sister and her other half today. Was a lot of fun. Canal is warm. Lake average was 37.9. South east side boasted 38 to 40 degree water. Very few Marks but the seagulls were in full swing. There is a TON of bait here. I believe the fish are just full to the gills. I've bought a set of the Chinook divers as well. They pull nicely through the water but I have yet to rely on them.. I'll use them some more this year. I will admit they do release nicely. Thanks pap. I have my insight into the diesel world an oils as mentioned before. I can rebuild anything but the long term effect is where I wanna be. The safest form of lubrication I bc an do for these motors the better. Vince I may be wrong on the 260 description, but I feel like it's what's marked there and in my manual. Thanks guys, paul. The hp is 350 hp on these motors, the model is a crusader 260. As mentioned above. I'm almost 100 percent that's what it says in the book and manual. I could be wrong. I deal with diesels day in and day out. I wish I had some. I'll be hitting up tractor supply if I can't get a better price straight from our Rotella dealer here in Elmira. Just curious what the guys on here are running in their crusader 454's for oil. The prior maintenance records show the marina using a 15w40 shell oil. I may just run straight 40 shell.
