I didnt realize they still stocked Aylantics there? I haven't caught one there since early 80s...caught a couple small browns the past couple years but nothing like we use to get in the 80s...my father caught one over 16 lbs back in 1981...and i believe the state record brown was from keuka back then... We dont fish Keuka much anymore just to many 3 lb lakers...its a great lake to take a kid out though...hopefully it will come back around though...maybe Trump will make it great again...Lol

Next few days are supposed to be pretty cold and right now 28 dgrees here. I think the south end of Honeoye may be OK but still may be sketchy in spots and some sections of open water when you head north. The problem the past few days has been that the fish have lockjaw big time which often occurs during Feb. and lots of dinks present. The other significant problem on weekends in addition to the crowds is the motor cycles racing around the south end...they make a hell of a racket and seem to spook the fish.
I was out last Saturday and caught about 30 perch but only 2 keepers...i left when the motorcycles showed up...i fish to get away from all that racket...lol...the gills have lockjaw as well? Looks to be about 50 degrees this weekend again...a rough ice fishing season for sure

Its probably more to do with pressure than the weather...I saw couple bucks in March last year as well with antlersLast year I saw a buck in March that still had both antlers. Ironically it was the same buck I shot with the rifle this fall. It was obviously a mild winter last year. Maybe it has something to do with the how harsh the winter will be? It hasn't been harsh yet but we have had plenty of snow so far.
It would be interesting to see if there is a pattern that coincides with the weather.
