  1. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:Sandra d ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):8/1 Time on Water:6-1 Weather/Temp:nice Wind Speed/Direction:5-10 west Waves: 1-2 Surface Temp: 75 Location:sodus LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 7 or 8 Total Boated:5 Species Breakdown:kings Hot Lure: savant dragon slayer/ w/g echip & white & green atomik live series Trolling Speed: 2.5 Down Speed: 2.2 Boat Depth: 90-350 Lure Depth: 65-100 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Steady bite on the kings all morning. Hit the first in about 200 fow. The rest were all over the place we caught some in 300 and the last was in 90 as we were picking up. We did get a dark dark male that was right around 30 lbs. this guy hit the savant dragon slayer down 87 over 180. We fished the cold water the entire time, temps between 42-50 is what my probe was showing down 65-85. We did have some temps in closer in the 52-55 range but couldn't manage to move a rod. Awesome screen with bait and fish. We fished right in front of the shoot with a north west troll getting the bites. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  2. ruff rider ruff rider do you copy? haha we will be up there sat afternoon and sunday, keep me informed on the days between then! Tight lines
  3. haha yeah that bigger bow was crazy acting! jumping at least 5 times
  4. I run snubbers and they seem to help.... but like the guys said you cant catch em all!!!! When you have 400 foot of line out there is 400 foot of play you have to deal with. So when the fish turn or make crazy moves it takes longer to pick the line up. I think with those big runs the water can create a lot of drag on the line also, just adding to the chances of the hook pullin.
  5. Had a great weekend with over thirty fish landed.... lots of good laker action with fish averaging 6-8 pounds. We landed a couple of smaller browns and a bunch of rainbows, with our biggest rainbow taking 5th on the board, weighing in at 7.3 i believe. Most of the lake trout came in 40-60 fow with lures near bottom. Riggers with bright colored spoons, mainly red eyes and alpeana diamonds. Copper out 150-250 took the majority, rigged with flat fish and trolled SLOOOOW. Nothing on the spinny combos. Bows came in deeper water, high in the column, and off lead core and riggers. All NK mag spoons, blue and silvers. We had a 2 mile stretch on the east side that was full of bait and fish, HUNGRY fish! Released all but one laker and that rainbow... Monday at about 1030 we lost the biggest laker Ive seen come out of Seneca... it hit the rigger and got to the boat when the hook pulled. The beast sat there about two foot from the end of my net just looking at me! Would have been derby winner or at least close!!! The two biggest Bows... And the lakers...

  8. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):5/9 Time on Water:0600 - 1500 Weather/Temp: sunny and warm Wind Speed/Direction: none Waves: none Surface Temp: Location:sodus point, straight out from the shoot LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 30+ Total Boated:twenty something Species Breakdown: 12 kings, the rest lakers Hot Lure: green SS dreamweavers and any green spin dr w/ atomik flies Trolling Speed: Down Speed: 2.4 - 2.8 Boat Depth: 100 - 150 Lure Depth: 60 - 110 Had a great day out there with none stop action all day. We set up straight in front in about 60 fow.... no hits until we hit the 120 mark and then it was none stop. Mostly lakers at first with two or three that were pushing 10-11 pounds. The rest were 5-6 pounders, most came on small green spoons. We started to hit some kings most of them were juveniles, some where in the ten pound range. We lost two screamers. The dipsys took a few (including one screamer) set on 2 out 150- 200 foot. The biggest hook up we had was one the 150 dipsy and took 300 foot of wire before the hook pulled, it felt like a giant! We bought some VR 2 attractors (looks kinda like a spin dr) and put some atomik live series flies behind them and those were on fire, hitting both kings and lakers. They look amazing in the water you just need to play with all the different settings. Ended up with like 12 kings with the biggest being about ten and about the same in lakers... the screen was lit up the entire time with fish flying at the baits Go get em!!!
  9. we got out for the last few hours ... hit 5 lakers one decent one but thats it. 140 fow seemed to be the place
