  1. Way to go les nice report keep it up sure do enjoy getting those bigger bows they are always fun, Seneca smack fest this weekend sure hope the weather stays if it does should see some good fish
  2. seneca smack fest this sat you in come on let's all catch some fish! Nice report by the way
  3. Anyone going to the lake fishing should be willing to throw 20$ in I mean hell only takes a couple of bites and could win enough to pay for your day or even more if some skirts get pulled up and lines get wet!!!
  4. should find someone to defend you because I just can't see that happening all the Cayuga boys always say this but no one ever comes over to represent them at least the Seneca boys travel east and come play
  5. Modify that a little. 5 fish in combination and can only weigh 3 lake trout and only weigh 1 rainbow per boat
  6. Well this all started with a little friendly wager between me and mike from the iron duke. He wanted to make a 20$ dollar wager on some fishing this Saturday on Seneca lake of course I accepted gladly but with a little more smack talk we decided to extend a invite to all that are brave enough to fish good ol' Seneca come on Cayuga boys lets go!!!!! So this is what we came up with an sorry for last minute but this is all good fun not serious, agreed to 20$ a boat no more then 9 rods a boat and all dec regulations must be followed it is a 5 fish event 3 lakers and 2 off fish only weight not a points style event your weight is your score no lunker and winner takes all fishing can begin at 6am and must be to Clute park in Watkins by 1.30 for weigh in this is basically the same format as a flta tournament!! If you can join us great if not we will only call you a chicken once or twice hahaha. Hope to see a few so called fisherman show up!!! Let the smack talk begin
  7. good to see the support and if we classified men in the club as women we would have more then one lots of complainers but all in fun. Harassment of fellow competitors is encouraged
  8. If it was only the fish from that lake that exceeded 25" that would be no prob those are the tuff ones to get hahaha and nick think about it this could explain a lot about us many have said we are not right lol and I cooked the fish in a pre mixed breading and baked it in the oven it was the best I ever I will get the name of the breading
  9. thank you join the club lets have more competition and more fun
  10. yes the club is a lot of fun and its cheap to fish 25$ for the year and 25$ per tournament no more then 20 lures in the water at a time and as mike has said all dec regs must be followed 10 tournaments a year and you drop your 2 low scores and.and if you wan to know what's in my creel join the club I willShow you at every weigh in hahahahah
  11. yes I 100 percent agree way to many small fish on that lake keeping fish on that lake is a good thing!!!
  12. Not just for spring or fall lead core is a huge part of my summer programs all over New York lakes and has played huge rolls in both my fun fishing and tournament fishing I use mine off of in line planer boards I have 3,5,7,10 color setups all have a time and place in my spread
  13. Thanks mike!! And good job on the bow impressive for that lake!!! And I really enjoy these events and I encourage more to join the club the events are fun the people are nice the competition is great!!! Be nice to add about 10 more members
  14. yes sir the thinking caps went on tried everything I know at one point I had 37 spoons out of the box that I had tried through out the day
  15. Went into the morning with low expectations but none the less always hopeful. Have had 2 different fishing adventures in the past week over their one trolling and one jigging the trolling was not impressive to say the least and the jigging that was fun but slow, so went into the morning with a idea of a area to try for that elusive brown on that lake!!!!! Well got to the branch port launch a little later then I wanted to put the boat in about 6am and made a run down around the bluff started setting gear got 8 of the 9 rods in and boom first fish on 10 color core lots of weight to it fighting that one and a 7 color goes same thing buddy says feels heavy so doubled up then the 145 dipsy goes the driver grabs that one then the 135 dipsy goes 3 guys 4 rods fish fish on looking fun and then the 55 rigger pops so 5 fish on in 8 rods in 15 min of fishing well I lost mine on the 10 color got both dipsy fish while jake was still on the 7 color rigger fish was landed as well so starting to wonder what jake had was hopefull for that brown get a few rods heading down when I realize jake is to the mono so I get the net hoping well it was not a brown but was a real solid 8lbs laker that had a lot of fight in it!! So the first flurry got 4 out of the 5 well the morning went on like that with a few more double and another triple the 10 color a the 135 and 145 dipsys where gold all morning getting fish just about every time you would tighten the drag up to set them in place at 9.30 the light switch was flipped and the bite was dead so after boating 25 fish we began searching had a 8lbs laker to weigh a 6lbs laker and then a small one to so just trying to get a upgrade for that 2lbs fish wow did the bite get tuff fished down around the bluff marked a ton of fish had fishing looking but not biting so ended up changing a few rods out put the mag dipsys down pulling flasher fly and just as we dropped into the deeper water bam fish on 215 dipsy get it in the boat and 4lbs nice upgrade fished almost all the way back to the ramp with no luck not even a bite. So went to weigh in with are heads held high but also wondering because their was a few boats in the same area as us and said they had a good bite well we had 3 fish for 18.9 lbs good box for that lake managed a couple real nice smallies to an a mess of a tangle! Ended up winning 1st lunker and the 50/50 so was a good day congrats to all that fished I enjoy these events
  16. Yeah that wind was really tough nonstop fight the whole time but still enjoyable. I'm thinking next time I jig I'm gonna take the boat not the yak should make things a little bit easier
  17. Well today was my first time seriously trying to jig still missing a few things but had fun took the kayak and launched at the Switz on keuka and headed to the bluff no fish finder of course so that does not help plus the wind was blowing pretty good. Started in 100fow and had one good smack then a small John boat showed up so slid out to where try were fishing and was chatting when I had another good thump hook was tangled up so lost that one talked for a while learned a few things got some info off their finder monkeyed around for a little longer no luck then went in to bass fish got a few bass fast and then started paddling back stopping on the way got to about 110fow and Hooked up solid this time first laker from the yak just a small one about another 10 min got another so starting to figure out a few pieces of the puzzle and then the wind really kicked up made it to hard to fish was drifting faster then I could paddle lol. So loaded up and came over to Seneca got a bunch of bass and I lost one small salmon at the side of the kayak jigging! Off the lake in time to stay dry. Heading back to keuka in the am for a flta tournament
  18. I'm hoping to bring the yak over to fish tomorrow weather looks a little iffy but who knows see what happens would not be the first time in it in some sketchy stuff
  19. Yeah Ed nick said you got a few Saturday we struggled to get them going and that is a smelly animal hahaha
  20. Very happy to hear this hope it goes well and don't go in the water haha
  21. Nice report and I give credit to those on Cayuga I can not convince myself to go fish their I received a pic of a lamprey stuck to the bottom of a boat yesterday dang things are trying to attack boats now haha.
  22. The fish in the south end had lock jaw Saturday only did 9 fish kept 3
  23. I was just on owasco Sunday it was my first time ever even seeing the lake and I did manage to get into some lakers but nothing with size I do know some guys that did decent their Sunday as well buy no fireworks yes I am partial to Seneca but also I like catching fish so my choice is Seneca Cayuga has been upsetting all year and those tackle busting Atlantic's you talked about yeah they are in Seneca as well not to mention some big bows this year
