Most definitely always was with my father and I also.. To me its more about the camaraderie than anything. .. Hey guys and gals... Haven't posted in a while but wanted to bring you up to speed on a few things... Haven't been on the lakes at all this winter other than ice fishing and really looking forward to getting back out there.. Finger Lakes Trolling Association held there annual awards banquet 2 weeks ago at Mura Bella's in Montour Falls.. It was a great banquet with great food and hospitality provided by Mura Bella's... Iron Duke crew brought home another championship this year and we are getting ready for this coming year as we speak. Finger Lakes Trolling Association annual Fisherman's Flea Market will be March 29th at the Community Center at Clute Park in Watkins Glen if your looking for some great deals on new and used trolling equipment this is the place to be.... If you are looking at Joining the Finger Lakes Trolling Association this year let me know or PM me and I will email you all the info you need to join, always looking for some more fisherman to join and make the competition even better.. Did the same with my Chevy towing boat down highway on the way to a tournament last year.... Deer was standing right in the middle of the slow lane with its ass pointed toward me CRUSHED IT HARD took off ass over teacups and thought it ruined the front of the truck from the noise it made but only one tiny barely noticeable dent in bumper so kept on trucking and won the tournament... The only issue you could have here is how u connect your lines together. . If you connect backer and leader with Albright knots you should be fine but if you use swivels or bead chains they might get caught up in level wind ... Like Hookedup said if you have a few cameras out and know you have a few older and possibly a couple fighting for dominance in an area rattling can be a extremely successful way to draw one into range.. Over the years the best responses have been right before does go into heat when the bucks are ready but the does aren't. .. The bucks are ready to fight for does and they will come in like some one is ringing the dinner bell but make sure your setup is correct because a old mature buck will always usually circle around down wind to scent check (he didn't get that old by being dumb)...
