    Ibay Perch

Yeah I have heard they have been hit and miss.
  4. Hey this is the time to get ready for the upcoming ice fishing season. I was given this Clam 1060 which is way to big for just me. It was given to me used and it has several small holes in the canvas but could easily be repaired with iron on or glue patches. I never set it up but was told it is totally intact. I want it gone soon. I looked online at others that are going for over $200. Being that this is "as is", I priced it as such. P.M. if interested. I live in Bergen NY. Here is a link of how to set it up and what it looks like. It easily accommodates 3 people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IW5DK6S6daU
  5. Thornton is on Sodus not Port Bay
  6. Hey I am going to be putting the boat away very soon and will repost in the spring. Now is the time for a good deal. There is still a lot of fishing to be done this year.
  7. Fished there yesterday. 1 for 2 out deep in about 90'. Dropped a steelhead and landed a skipper king. VERY SLOOOW all morning. They're still dredging the outlet. I talked to a few guys who were casting off of the pier. They were saying very early in the morning like usual and just a few fish. They're were getting brownies and a few steelies at dark. Good luck and tight lines. I am with Czarnecki Tree stands and duck blinds and wait for the stream to get hot with the browns and steelies. Tight lines
  8. Hey winter is coming and I am going to be putting the boat in storage. Now is the time to get a good deal before I put it away and repost in the spring. There is still a lot of fishing to be done. THE PERCH are waiting for you. So, here you go guys and gals that are looking to get out this fall for salmon, trout, walleyes and perch. I am selling my 1973 Starcraft walk-thru with 1982 Mercury 40hp. I redid this boat between 2012 and 2013. It has new floor, carpet, transom, seats, paint, transom, bimini top, (2) depth finders one on the forward casting platform and one on the dash (with speed). (1) Cannon lake troll downrigger, (2) Cannon rod holders, bilge pump, wiring etc.. The motor is a 1982 mint condition Mercury 2 stroke 40HP, two cylinders each 120 psi. It has newly rebuilt carb, fuel pump, plugs fuel lines, impeller fuel line connectors. This motor has only had non ethanol gas in it since I have owned which is 8 years. All of the work was professionally done. All of this is brand new and has only this spring of trolling and last fall of perch. The trailer is a 1988 Highlander single axle trailer, new winch strap, lights, safety chains, bunks, guide ons. I have well over $4000 in this boat. I am asking $3200.00/BO P.M. me if you're interested. Don't snooze because this is priced right in comparison to the stuff I have seen.

    Lake O

I didn't know that about eating the sheepshead. I am always open to trying new things. I have had carp (smoked) and it was pretty good. So I guess why not sheepshead. Ill give 'er a shot next time I get one. thanks

My cousin and I hit Hedges this past Friday. We went out of I Bay and were seeing a ton of fish surfacing hitting minnows, so we thought we would troll for bit. Yeah nothing then we drifted with drop shot and Carolina rigs nothing then we switched to live bait gobies then we went out to 50 feet of water gobies then after cursing out every invasive species that has hit the Great Lakes we went home. I won't be going out for smallies again in the lake for a long time and when I do it will be strickly trolling or throwing tubes early and late in the season.
  12. At the oak .Had a lot of trips today but it seems like they must be smallmouth. Go to pick up the rod and the fish was gone. Did lose one nice King to a bad leader. One brown boated.
  13. Yes the browns are in shallow still about 10 or so and the lakers are about 15 to 18.
  14. Very nice! When you say fast, how fast are you talking?
  15. Right on with the wind. Yesterday it was another day of good fishing with goofy wind. First southeast wind than north wind than no wind, wadda wadda wadda. But the fishing has been good. The fish are spread out more with no wind but zigzagging has worked good.
