Congrats on a great catch!!! Those are awesome eyes!!! Well deserved.

I fished Friday from 7-1. Had 1 break off for my nephew who came to catch his first king. I was heartbroken for him and I failed him with the equipment - somewhere I must have had a nick in the line which cost him a fish I had buttoned on real good. Only 2 other releases in 5 hours of fishing. Worked all different colors and depths trying to make something happen. Weather was incredible and the boat traffic was light. Saw 2 other nets move and that was it. Real slow. Saw pockets of fish in certain spots but never really found the mother load. Ran flashers and fly most with some sort of green combo. Hits came with riggers down 120 and 105. Good luck guys!!!

I see guys fishing over deep water 60-80 feet of water with planer boards and I know they are targeting walleyes. When I go out over deep water I mark fish down 40-60 but have not been able to get anything to fire. Do any of you guys weight your stick baits to target eyes at this depth or do you still focus on the top 30ft of the water column. I run deep diver reef runners and husky jerks and do good in the shallower water (30-50 feet) but when that dries up and I head for deeper water the trail goes cold...
