  1. Twice in the past ten years cats have decided to mark their territory in my boat. Bye bye kitty.
  2. I try not to argue with idiots or newbies, you appear to be both.
  3. LOL, you for one were always pretty stealthy on the radio
  4. funny, a bunch of people here have no idea what is used to be like. There was no LOU and no cell phones. The VHF was the deal, most days the chatter was constant.
  5. Amazes me when I'm on the boat how quiet the radio is compared to "back in the day".
  6. The helm is on the starboard side. Starboard stern corner is blind.
  7. I was trolling north west quartering into waves at two and a half mph. He came up at 8-9 mph in line with the starboard stern corner of my boat. I don't have eyes in the back of my head.
  8. if you have a boat but no riggers you can catch fish with a pair of dipsy rods.
  9. Someone here must need one.
  10. He was worse than an Internet tough guy on the radio. It was obnoxious but pretty funny.
  11. Never know what's floating out there. Found a John boat in 600 some years back. Teeny little piece of stern was the only part above water.
  12. Funny thing is he knew enough to call me on 72. If he knew that much maybe he should have guessed the rest.
  13. Ha ha I was wondering if anyone did. Fishings good. 250 to 300 down 60 to 110. Dipsy a at 300 and 250. Fleas not a big issue. Saw a log coming back around 200 that could have made for a really bad day. Keep your eyes open.
  14. Doesn't, look it up. He even said " must not know what latitude is". In 3 to 4's with 6 out your turns are limited. He had to have seen me for a mile on his way. I was on a tight 330. Wasn't another boat in sight. 1/4 wile further and he tacked 180. Was no need for it. If he turned 30 degrees west 20 minutes before there wouldn't have been an issue. It was really no big deal, just selfish and unnecessary.
  15. Was in 300 off Sandy today trolling on a 330 when a voice on the radio yelled "change your latitude " "change your latitude " I looked behind me to starboard stern to see a sailboat coming fast on course to cross my bow. I said on the radio " I will cut in and cross your stern to which the vessel Villa replied "change your latitude ". I might have called him an A hole. Pretty big lake out there, and the overtaking vessel has not the right of way. Back in the day a well thrown quarter stick would have been appropriate. Man I miss those days.
