But keep it fun. I haven't shot a buck in 3 years. Missed one last year. I pass what I consider small bucks but do take a few doe every year. If for whatever reason I want to get out early or sleep in some mornings I do it. A big buck would be great but to not enjoy precious time off would be a waste.

Matt I think your hard work will be rewarded. Difference between hunting and trolling is you can always move your boat but with hunting you hunt what you have. I'm not sure the places I have to hunt are the greatest there is but its what I have and you make the best of it.

Weeks vacation starts now. Hope I see some action. Looking forward to spending some time in the woods.

The car in front of me on manitou whacked one tonight just up from my house. If it's there tomorrow it's going on the coyote bait pile in the back yard.

Me too. Not the best stand for me with the east wind but I put my daughter in one with favorable wind. Maybe she will get her first shot with her bow tonight.

What are the differences on the arrow other than white hair or green stuff? How does a boiler room arrow look different than a muscular one? I tried to track a gut shot buck my son shot some years back in red brush. At one point I found a six inch piece of bowel on the branch of a tree. After about a mile lost the blood. Looked for that deer for days and never found it.

The cabin we stayed in was pretty nuts. The pond is loaded with bass and the mounts on the wall of the cabin were very impressive.

Times two! Couldn't go without one of the kids, have 3 that hunt. The turkey hunt was a bargain. $800 for three days, two nights, two days of hunting, fully guided .

Couple turkeys just walked by. If one had a beard I would have shot it. They just roosted in front of me
