  1. I'm looking to head out in front of Olcott Saturday morning. I haven't heard anything.
  2. Earlier this week I saw lots of bait inside 200 fow. By 9am all boats were out in 400+ fow.
  3. Any news on the Olcott camera. It is truly missed.
  4. I responded to the website Olcottrentals.com. They have the camera. No reply.
  5. Launched at 5:30. Set up in 100 fow right in front of Olcott. Downriggers set at 75 with slider. Actual depth 66. Down temp was 53-56. Divers set at 150 and 180 #4 setting Chinook Diver. Lead core 35-70' down. Slider caught 2, bottom spoon caught 1 and 180 diver took a hard hit. Fished until about 9am. All spoons.
  6. It sounds weird....but did you try replacing the plug? My plug looked just fine but I was pumping out GALLONS after each trip. I bought a $4 plug and voila. Now I pump out a couple gallons after each outing.
  7. Conditions have been a little too rough for me. A 16'er requires 1-2' waves. I'm not gonna mess with winds over 10. Especially out of the east.
  8. Excellent. Thank you for the info.
  9. This time of the year.....how far out do you need to go to find them?? I know many people say "Offshore" but is that 400 fow? 500? Or even more? I'm fishing out of Olcott.
  10. Perhaps you need a new battery back??
  11. You did better than me today. I got shut out today in 70 FOW. Yesterday I got 6 in 70 FOW. All spoons.
  12. I'm heading out of Olcott tomorrow morning and could use any info also!!
  13. Did you choose inside or deep??? If deep, how far did you go??
  14. Thanks for the update!!! I am heading out early tomorrow morning. I have had poor luck lately so I hope your info helps me out!!!!
  15. I use 10# weights and do not have to increase my gain at all. Factory settings SHOULD take that into consideration. Now, if your speed is 2.7 or higher you may way to increase the gain or adjust your transducer angle. Your weight and probe may be almost outside the angle of the transducer??? My probe was brand new last year and the battery connections were not PERFECT. Just saying....there should be zero movement once you snap those batteries in. Mine were not perfect and I lost signal all the time.
