  1. Awesome picture Wayne! That is a tank!!, congratulations on a great day of fishing! Love the UV wild child! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Well done in both events Mike. Your flies are deadly on those bigger suspended Lakers. I'd say your program is very consistently catching big fish on the fingers, keep up the good work! There will be a few of us guys chasing you till the last FLTA tourney.. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Nice job Jimmy n crew, wish we could've fished.. Cayuga certainly is giving up the goods this year!! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  5. I'd like to start a thread that discusses the selection of fly colors as it relates to water clarity and water color. I have been running https://www.ironduketrollingflies.com/ ( Mike is a great guy that makes a really great product for a great price) I run the UV wild child a fly that almost always works for me but it seemed dead the other day so I changed to a game over fly ( green chartreuse and UV) The water color was green and slightly dingy (Cayuga). The change made an instant improvement on the bite. So my first question is how much do you guys look at the water color to determine your fly choice? The sun was bright that day and usually that meant UV but the mix of chartreuse and UV seemed to be the ticket. Also wanted to get an opinion on the leader length and how important it is. I went thru and measured each leader to exactly 22" for my SD and 36" for my paddles making sure each rig had a nice snell and hung straight. Seemed to help.. Including a pic of my super hot custom paddle that all I did was add a few UV spoon tape to the face, it truly out fished all other paddles 3-1 this weekend. Probably just in the hot zone for depth, lol. Also why do guys only run meat off of the bigger paddles? I love the action it gives a fly. Whatcha guys think? 9. Nope, over 15lb for a ll salmon, 18 for a brown, 13 for a rainbow, and 20lb for a Laker ( finger lakes) for my cheap standards.. lol Was that Bobbys fish? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  14. The suspended fish we marked on that lake are huge! Nice Laker Alex! The one Laker we kept had an empty stomach, but he was fat n heathy.. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Took my neighbors son out fishing on Owasco. Launched South end at 6:30am and we cruised up the flat calm lake. Water was a bit turbid in color and he wanted to try jigging for a bit so with a few follows and one hit we decided to ditch that and try for bass. First flip of a white paddle tail produced a nice little smallie, total luck, because nothing for an hour after that! Then we trolled (phew, back in my comfort zone) we picked up a couple bows on small colorful scorpions n warriors. (Pink, anti freeze green) but.. the Lakers were tight lipped! Decided to run north and try shallow for walleye or whatever. The North end in 50-60' was loaded with fish and bait. We hit many small Lakers and one decent one. No eyes but one fish we lost acted a lot like one... Ended up jigging in shallow picking up a red eyed rock Bass and a perch. For Owasco the bite was slow! But a fun day Sent from my Moto G (4) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. No doubt Cayuga north end, Dean's cove. But Seneca has been getting better it's no where near Cayuga in numbers caught but there are very nice silvers there if you know the lake. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Great job Mike! Wish we could have fished both days, makes a huge difference in knowing where they are to start. We fished South of Severne to start and the fish were there but tight lipped. Seneca was hot the week before but it changes quickly.. We picked two bows and five small 16-18" Lakers but I figured it would be foolish to box them, I was wrong! It shut off after 10 and I shoulda checked my rigger and dipsy more cause they were dragging little Lakers... Seneca always teaching me, or schooling me!! Lol Hope we can make the last box tourney. 18. Infection? Not sure if the area you referring to is just bloody or the yellow area? Lots of dead fish still floating today on Seneca, 20+lb carp out there today we saw.. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  22. Well done gentlemen! I Was the rookie rod guy for Bellis n Burt, reeling in a pile of fish, one fish on the seven color I said it's a brown for sure, they all laughed at me. Said no way... Sure enough it was and the rookie old guy gets to teach em how to tell a brown from a salmon. Lol!! Great fishing with y'all! Les, nice to fish a lake that produces like that! No? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Had a chance to fish with Bellis n Burt today, these guys are dialed in. Silvers and some really big Lakers. Back at it in am! Good luck to all! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Lake Ontario United mobile app
