  1. Great info guys.  Two of the lakers I kept the other day were not clipped and one was,  the one that was had a lamprey scar.  Also the colors were less vibrant on the clipped fish but he also may have been stressed from the lamprey.... They all tasted really good!

  2. 2004 Yamaha four stroke tiller handle electric start, stored inside heated garage every winter, very little use on this motor.  1987 Aluminum Blue Fin 15' with trailer.  Spare tire, marine plywood decking, pedestal seat, gas tank, battery, boat cover all in good shape.  Perfect boat for entry into trolling the fingerlakes.  $2,750   selling for a friend! 3. Awesome believe I saw you today.  Marked a lot of big fish only ended up with 4 lakers before 10am.  Glad someone got them to bite.  The moon was under foot at 8:30AM or so thats when the bite turned on for us.  I believe that you can target these fish by moon cycle and clarity of the previous night.  6 hours then a minor feeding pattern  if it coincides with the moon over head or under foot look out !!!    Nice fish!!!!

  4. Copy, that must feel like pulling in a car door the number ones are heavy enough!   I just have found that most lakers were biting from 70' to 85' down, anyone have info on how much light is down at 100'? Can't be much.  I have caught a few that deep but the majority have been above that depth.  Glow stuff i guess.??

  5. Thanks Les. I have put lots of time in on Cayuga over the years just never had a big enough boat or the right equipment(until this year).  This site has been a huge advantage to help out my learning curve.  Added a new Okuma convector cv30D reel and a wire roller  pole rigged with Malin SS line. Can't wait to try out my new dipsy rig. The numbers show it should be able to get 100' deep with 300' of line out with a number 1 dipsy.   Hills and Valleys rocks for their selection!  Any one been back out on Cayuga? Has it cleared up at all?  May make my way to Lodi this weekend!  Good fishing all!

  6. The lake dished out a tough day of fishing but with the luck of my friend and his boy we were able to land 6 lakers two small salmon and one slob 8lb 2 oz (male) laker that took the grand prize.   Thanks so much to all the people that post on this site. My learning curve has been a tough one but I do love Cayuga and all it has to offer.   Mikey also took first in the youth division and he had a great day with his dad and myself.    Buying more fishing stuff YEA BABY!

  7. Milliken powerplant then go north  70 to 90 fow FF with white/blue uv fly 8 to 10' lead off ball, drop the ball on the bottom once in a while (big lakers a plenty). Speed 2.4 to 2.6 for the FF program  slower if ya run spoons/   Small dipsy with a flutter spoon 40-50 down gave us a half dozen salmon and two bows yesterday all just a bit short of legal but fun anyway. Good luck

  8. If the power pro is braid that loads up quickly with the pesky hitchhikers.  The  only solution is 30lb flea flicker line. Try 85 fow and if you can run on bottom with a rigger for lakers, spoons or FF.    FingerlakesTackle.com will give you the best spoons available.  Spin doctors with blue/white flies been hot for us.  Troll different speeds keep experimenting this site is loaded with great info form guys like Big Dave and SK8man.  Good luck

  9. We had a great morning Saturday going 12 for 16 all lakers.  Decided to run an all out FF program.  85fow one rigger on bottom one at 69ft.  Two dipsys out 200 and 240.  Hot FF was a Seneca special with a white/blue uv fly although it was probably more to do with it being in the strike zone (bottom).  The dipsys took a few fish out over deep water and the fleas and weeds were bad to say the least.  Hope all the fisherman had a great weekend I don't think our biggest 6lb 14 ounces will hold on the board but we will have a great fish fry!!!  Good luck LOU ers!

  10. Thanks Les, I think we should have a two day challenge one day on Seneca and one on Cayuga One fish of each species can be weighed in for each lake that would be your box total.  Support something like a local food pantry or whatever charity needs help.  Anybody interested ? we can start a new thread too.

  11. Reel Stories won we took second. Sorry dont remember third.  Tried to dethrone Nick and Seneca Lake but came up a pound or so short.  My son and I had a fantastic day on Cayuga boated 32 fish total, two rainbows, ten landlocked salmon and 20 lakers.  Lost a very respectable salmon at the boat may have been the difference...   Thanks to all involved it was a blast.  Oh the hot lure of the day was BOB BARKER from FLT.  Coming in a close second was a Orange Puke small flutter spoon on a dipsy back 180.  Switched over to the FF program and kept with the orange and green combo colors, also picked up a keeper salmon on a blue flasher/ blue fly.  All fish came from North of Milleken in 75 to 150 FOW, Caught the bows on Wonderbread lure FLT on a small dipsy down the chute.   Congrats Nick nice job for your clients!
