  1. Lakers did not start biting until 10:30am or I found them take your pick. Caught them on dipsys back 150,200 small gold flutterspoon/ Also caught two up at 45' off rigger in mostly 80 to 120 fow.  The killer lure was BOB BARKER FLT fished 70' to 85' down (silver back with glow green sparkles and a red dot.)  Speed 2.0 to 2.2 and a North troll, did not seem to like it slow today.   Again goes along with the moon phase all the lakers had mostly digested small fingerling bait in them, fed super early or before sunrise got hungry again bout ten or so...  Great time to be out fishing.

  2. Launched out of Taughannock at 6:45AM. Headed north to boy scout camp picked away at small salmon and one nice young bow.  Headed to East shore and found the lakers ready willing and able.  Four lakers later my new favorite spoon from Bobby Fuller FLT  (BOB BARKER) come on down the price is wrong Bobby boy!!!  hooks into what I believe to be the biggest laker I have ever fought.  Well... back up on the story a bit, my beautiful loving kind awesome wife finally decides to go with me this morning.....  She says take the fish, so she grabs the net we get this laker to the boat, he had shoulders like a 20lb king, she tries to get the net under him but the hook hangs in the net and bye bye monster.... I break out laughing and tell her I have the best story to tell everyone and she is almost in tears.  We laugh about it and decide to call it a day.  Well the divorce should be finished soon.   No seriously she is the best for just going.  As i am writing this she will not read it oh well still love her, but man was it a huge fish :o

  3. I have a theory that the browns that are around are bigger and a bit smarter than the average fish.  Just to add to the report the speed that was producing was 1.8 to 2.0 we tried faster but nothing.  Usually the slower troll helps pick up a few more lakers but not on Saturday.  Hermit do you think it has to do with moon phase, heard a lot of old timers talk about how the lakers feed due to the moon phase anyone do any stats on the subject or are there any articles ya' all know of?         Good luck next week Barry!

  4. Great day on Cayuga launched at Myers at 6am.  Didn't get third rod set when rigger fires small LL.  Fished West shore up to Boy Scout camp with 8 fish in boat before 8 am mostly small salmon, ended up going 12 for 20 with one nice 19" rainbow that was released.  Lots of small salmon lost two big fish on FF down 120'.  The fish were starting to key on 60' down in 90 to 150fow. Kept one legal salmon and a eater size laker.  Bob Barker from FLT did the most damage followed by the Alpha Alewife on dipsy back 180 and 220.  Lead core and flat line on board all took fish, awesome time to be fishing...  Tremendous amount of bait by the Boy Scout camp.  Anyone catching browns on Cayuga where did they go?

  5. Wow what a grind yesterday went 7 for nine all lakers all before 9:30am.  Kept one. Lost the biggest, solo running in that wind was tough.  They hit every spoon I had out, Bob Barker did well and Anna Conda.  Skipping today. Back at it in the am.  Good luck guys, GO LOU someone from this page win please!

  6. Yes doing four days of fishing launching out of Sampson, Going to run same program as this past weekend hopefully find a big one! I was up till 11:30 also fileting fish, then back on the water at 5:30  Love it!

  7. The Nauti-troller and crew went 16 for 20 4 salmon (one 18") and 20 lakers on Sat with no large fish. Lost a very large laker (ten plus), oh the one that got away    Lots of filets for all my friends and family who wanted some. Sunday went back to same spot we lost big boy and started hammering big fish.  Todd Sr. landed a 7.2 and Todd Jr landed a 7lber,  If he was a yr and a half younger it would have placed first in the youth division.  :(    All big fish came off of FLT Anna conda! Thanks Bobby! Saturday theFLT  Alpha Alewife was the champ boating a majority of the fish.  Location was South and North of Taughannock and South and North of Milliken.  75 fow on bottom.. Kwik fish did well too, slow speed 1.5-1.8 Thanks to all that ran the tournament! Nice meeting ya Fat Hobbit how did you do?

  8. Amazing how the reports on Cayuga don't exsist this week.  Well here goes we fished Cayuga yesterday started south end and headed north went 7 for 12.  5 Lakers two salmon.  Fish are all over not quite set up in regular places.  Marked some big fish but I will keep those spots private.  Good luck to all this weekend see ya out there.  The hot lures were the DWB and Alpha Alewife (UV), FLT rules!

  9. Got out after rain about 10:30am till 1:30pm four for four on lakers.  Nothing huge nice eaters.  130 fow south end and east shore. Lures down 120 and 80' down on wire dipsy ( 240' back) Some more bait showing up.  Heavy north blow for about an hour made it cool right off.  Total spoon bite nothing touching the FF.   Question: does the FF combo lose its effectiveness under 1.8mph?? What do you all think, if you are running slow do you just run spoons?

  10. Was out for a bit yesterday. With a light north blow the lake may have turned over a bit, the wind has been south for quite a while taking the warm water off the south end into deeper water. There is a large amount of bait waiting to spawn just off the drop off.  This week/ weekend should be fantastic. Probably get out once more Friday or Sat. Spoon bite, no hits on FF was hitting fish in 80-130 fow. Super slow troll too. 1.5 to 1.8. Good luck!   Finding them is the key!

  11. Was on Cayuga yesterday.  80-130 fow right off south end in the middle, large arcs on large bait cloud on bottom.  Alpha Alewife spoon and UV blue spoon took three nice lakers. FF program was not the ticket yesterday.  Good Luck!
