  1. I did the same thing with my boat last year. Your price is great in my opinion. Wait till everyone gets there taxes back and you'll get a phone call everyday for a few weeks. Good luck.
  2. That is right on. Have you every fished cassadaga lake. We have done really well there when I was younger and had a 14ft aluminum boat. Caught many Musky and they were relatively easy to catch.
  3. Larry, Have you caught many Musky in Dunkirk Harbor? I have fished the power plant outlet many times and never caught a musky. This spring I did see two high 30inch musky at my slip in dunkirk harbor which was a first for me.
  4. Chatter stixs with a half of night crawler works for a lot of erie guys. I have tipped other Sticks but at low speeds I would rather not. The chater stixs even chatter/wobble at 1.5 with half a crawler. It took me a while to start using chatters but I almost always have one out now.
  5. Well it was a little bumpy so we headed in front of canadaway creek and got a laker in 12ft of water 6ft down on a rigger. Lost several steelies and landed a nice fat brownie and some big old smallies. 35 ft 20ft down was best for steals and browns. It was a good afternoon.
  6. One more go out of dunkirk this afternoon
  7. Thanks for opinions on rods. I do use church boards tx 12 and 22's and I am big board guy converted over. The quickness we can deploy the little boards with lead core setups is much better. We tangle less and use them more especially in short afternoon trips with only a few of us in the boat. We keep track of the backing with line counter reels and we can let a three color and backing with board attached right down the Shute reel in the inner five color so the board is only 30 ft away from boat and swing that board overtop of the five color keeping shallow line on outside. With big boards we had to do a lot of reeling in and reseting to avoid tangles. On Erie for walleyes you can not beat a leadcore program especially early in the year. Later in the year we did catch alot of fish on a 300 copper.
  8. Hey guys looking for some opinions. About to spend some money on some leadcores. I have been fishing leadcore for years on erie for eyes and have had good success. I kind of have a hodge podge of rods And reels and this winter I would like to setup 2, 3, 5, 7 color rigs all the same. I really like my convector 45's for my ten colors which I have setup with cabelas depth master rods which I am not exactly happy with because of breaks. I troll using church boards and love them. Any opinions on the micro lead core? Opinions on rods would be nice also, right now I run depth master cabelas 8ft nedium action brand and Great Lakes series diawa rods which I like but I believe can not be purchased retail. I believe I want to go with a 7.5 ft rod with a little stiffer action or even a 7 ft rod. Opinions requested, thanks in advance.
  9. Fishing this has been fantastic. I believe may 17 th we caught 6 and its been good since.
  10. Well went out of dunkirk 90 ft straight out yesterday got 8 in two hrs. Today in the first forty minutes boxed four. Only can run four rods riggers at 68 dipsey 230 back on 2 with braid. The fish are thick. Silvers and Shesps make worm fishin tough but that's what they want.
  11. He got 4. Two over 8lb wieght. Off van Buren 10 and 8 color. I went perching out of dunkirk Thursday and Friday good bite north of harbor 65 ft had to move a bunch yesterday to find em. Ill be out in morning might try inside trench in front of towers west. Occasionally late and early season walleye can be on that inside structure on the bottom 65 ft.
  12. A little no farther then van Buren. Got a buddy out now had one fish by 830, 85ft off point.
  13. Last time I was out of dunkirk was Friday and I believe it has been rough since then. Fishing out of dunkirk really hasn't changed much 85 to 95 ft 60 to 70 down
  14. They were Friday. I am sure you can still get them. I got nine Friday. 85 to 95 ft, 60'to 70 ft down.
  15. Real good bite on eyes out of dunkirk 80 to 100 ft 65 down. Lots of fish black and purple harness on dipsey. 10 color with pink renowsky and 3 ounces. Come out and join me.
  16. Nope can't figure it out but there is a 26 ft boat with dual115 ho mercs out in fromt of what us to be called mcdonoughs. With a cooler with a big bunch of mature kings in there. C
  17. Hey here is a report olcott ny 60 to 70 ft spin doctor green dot and white. biig king after big king. Yep just in. Awesome as it gets. 29 lb, 25lb, 23lb, 20lb since 6pm. They are in close. only 6 or 7 boats going back to dunkirk tommorrow.
  18. Is it a spoon bite storm warning? We have one mature, coho, steelie in close also. Got a mature in tight yesterday afternoon also.
  19. We are going out tommorrow to olcott. Have the charters boats been mostly running offshore?
  20. I don't fish sodus, fish olcott and erie out of dunkirk from may to October and really enjoy the post also. It helps me get distracted from work which is good. Good luck I hope you get the big one. Red eye with green and orange with the silver lighting bolt through it. Or an alpena diamond with white back and pink front with black diamonds.
  21. On tip I would suggest is make sure you have few lures with in ten feet of bottom. We have caught alot of walleyes deep 75 ft plus. Spoons off riggers and wire divers. Lots of trout mixed right together with eyes.
  22. I believe so I will know when I pick it up and get a little better explanation. It was a long process. It was a pretty simple fix he said.
  23. Well after a few months several mechanics no faults when hooked up to tester. It turns out it was a float inside the fuel modular was bad. Guys at lime lake marina finnally found it. For some reason it wouldn't act up until it was in the water under load. Would not fault in tank.
