  1. Treman Marine Park AKA Cass Park has a launch right at the south end. http://nysparks.com/parks/35/details.aspx
  2. I have a Sears brand 10' Jonboat with Minn Kota transom mount trolling motor and Lowrance x4 HDI fishfinder. The transom wood has just been redone, also comes with two oars, a brand new anchor and a brand new spool of anchor line. Asking $450 OBO. Call Bill 607-844-9637, boat is located close to Ithaca.

  4. Thanks for the reply, so the top 3 fish out of all species listed on entry form will win?
  5. I guess I can't count, there's actually 8 species listed, does anyone that has fished this in years past know the breakdown of the divisions?
  6. Is this the south shore marina derby? I just downloaded an entry form. Are there really 6 different divisions? Under divisions it just lists 6 different species. Just google owasco lake derby and you'll find it.
  7. There were 3 divisions last year, I'm guessing they'll do it the same...
  8. It was great seeing/meeting everyone that entered... Copper liner, I hope you got the boat going. Fishstix, sorry to bump you down the board, if I catch big one this weekend I'll be sure to throw it back in the lake for you.
  9. It was a tough day indeed, I caught 1 16" laker at about 8am and nothing else until the 12lb beast an hour before final weigh- in. I guess it pays to be persistant.
  10. Good advice in those threads above... 1 oz jigs with soft plastics - lunker city shakers or swimfish, BPS plastics etc. White or chartreuse are usually good colors. Also jigging spoons are a good bet at times. Normally lakers are pretty scattered in spring. Haven't fished Seneca yet this year but we've had good luck jigging Cayuga out of long point over the last month or so 80-150 FOW has been where we marked/caught most fish. I'd try between Sampson and Geneva, around Belhurst is always a good bet...
  11. That makes sense, I was just confused about the posts which mentioned keeping 5 Lakers if you were on a team.
  12. I'm confused about the team aspect, it says nothing about having a team on the registration form. It seems to me if 2 or 3 people are all registered separately and fishing in the same boat, they should all be able to keep their daily limit and weigh in their daily limit for a derby. I'd love to hear more about this, I plan to fish the spring derby with at least 1 other guy and want to make sure we're following the rules.
  13. Sorry Item is sold, I'm trying to figure out how to delete old posts... any of you guys know how??
  14. Unit is in great shape, less than a year old, this is the down scan imaging model, does not have GPS/charts. Cost $199 new asking $150... Everything is included and works great. Pics will be posted soon.
  15. I'm not sure we had the complete kitchen sink but similar results today, had a solid hit on 5 color and another on 90' rigger but that's it, others we talked to had a similar experience. We trolled sounth along east shore until the debris got too bad and back up the west, varied our depth a lot and marked fish/bait all over.
  16. I believe barney & bear's spring derby is May 16/17, salvation army is July 11/12
  17. Young buck decided to run out in front of us, not easy stopping a truck and boat. No damage to vehicle, rearranged the gear in the boat a bit. The deer didnt fair so well, not a great start to the day but all in all a good day out.
  18. Put in at long point this AM around 6:30, had an unfortunate run in with a deer on the way but we made it out OK. Trolled for about 2 hours, marked quite a bit but nothing wanted to bite. Switched over to laker jigging around 9 which was slow to start but turned on around 11am... 6 fish boated in short order, big fish of the day was just under 9 1/2 lbs all came from right around 100 FOW. Snowy and cold but a great day out.
  19. I've got a nice Minn kota bow mount edge 55, 48" shaft for sale... Its a tiller control, not foot controlled. About 3 years old, looking to get around 300, price is negotiable... If interested give a call: 6078449637 name is bill
  20. Newbie question here... Keep in it reel, when you say 200 copper do you mean 200 feet out or 200 yards?
  21. I went north out of Myers @ 6:45am, trolled north to the powerplant on the east side, had one decent LL maybe 18". We jigged for lakers at the plant and across on the west side then trolled back to taughannock. Jigging is normally our go-to when the trolling is slow but we marked very few fish and no bait, the jigging was non-existent. Would've liked to try out of Long Point for the lakers but that'll have to wait for warmer weather.
  22. We tried to put in at long point today, its still frozen, should be open by next weekend. Put in at Myers for round 2, 1 decent LL which was an improvement over last Sunday but still not great. Look forward to reading your report Salmo, I think we were the only 2 boats on the lake (other than crew team) didn't see anyone around taughannock.
