How much of a difference is it between the GPS and lure speed? Is there a difference? I know a fish hawk is more accurate but I can't afford one right now... Thanks in advance!

I was out at Mexico point yesterday from about 9am till 1 pm marked a bunch of fish at the bottom in 120 FOW in front of the plant but didn't move a rod.. I would like to know about stony point also.. I would love to launch closer to the Fort Drum area... Driving an hour away to launch and not catching fish is no fun..

I am looking to buy some downriggers. I have a 19' Sea Nymph Boat and have no Downriggers. I am looking for 2. Preferably a package deal, Weights, release clips, Base mounts. Thanks in advance!
I got a Shakespeare 8' antenna from West Marine with the quick fold down base and I am very happy with it.. Talking to the salesman about radios and he told me when it comes to marine radios it's all about the Antenna because they are line of sight so the higher the better..
I used the #5 Chinook diver yesterday for the first time and caught a laker in 120 FOW with 30lb mono out 220. I never used a Dipsey diver before. So I don't know how they compare..
What colors? For Spin Doctors and flies? Steelhead fishing in the lake sounds awesome!! I am disappointed about the brown trout not cooperating.. I read about them all winter and was excited!! It was a long cold winter so I am trying to enjoy every minute of summer!!
Thanks.. I am going launch out of stony this weekend.. I am going to try for some lakers. I am going to try using Dipsey Divers. Should I use Spin Doctors and spoons?
Haha.. Thanks!! I have to start with manuals and upgrade later... Gotta start somewhere.. Plus if you never use manuals you will never know how spoiled you are when you have the powered down riggers..
I am looking at buying some used cannon lake trollers(manual) and they come with 100' cable and 8lb wieghts. Is 100' of cable enough? Or do I need 200? I know the fish go to deep water in the summer but how for down are they?
