  1. I have everything hooked up to a size 27 starting battery and have never had a problem with low voltage (2 riggers, 2 graphs, temp probe etc). I have my 9.9 Yamaha charging the system while trolling. I don't think you will be pulling up both riggers at the exact same time very often if at all. I would not worry about it as long as your starting battery is good.
  2. well that sucks, hopefully I wont have any problems. Thanks for the reply.
  3. I watched the video and it appears that it would work well. I have used tufline micro lead for two years and also use back to back uni knots to connect the backing and leader. Like chowdaire said strip off about 5 or 6 inches of lead from the sheath and tie the knots. It is compact and flows the guides without issue.
  4. Anyone know why some have white numbers and some have blue numbers? I'm assuming one model is older than the other possibly. I just ordered a few and they have the white numbers.
  5. It's on ebay right now too, it will be gone in a couple of days regardless.
  6. Andre is correct. It has GPS, 2d sonar and downscan sonar.
  7. Brand new in box lowrance hook 7 with lake insight mapping card. Box includes the unit, transducer, sun cover, power cord, mount with screws. 375.00 shipped to your door.
  8. Thanks everyone for the quick replies
  9. I want to try and troll for salmon this year on the west end of the lake. I have no idea what color or brand of flashers I should buy. I am looking for suggestions so that I don't buy a bunch of unproductive colors. Looking at buying pro troll or Dreamweaver. Thanks in advance.
  10. I currently am using Okuma Deadeye rods for my board rods. I think they are 8'6" long and are telescopic which is nice when you put them away. I'm not familiar with Diawa's but any decent reel with mono will do. I use the Offshore boards and if you use braid they suggest upgrading the front clip to the OR 18 clip.
  11. Medium action rods work well with in line boards
  12. Here's mine when I picked it up from the dealer
  13. I have a total of 6 Alphamar linecounter reels for sale. Two of the reels are the 16LC model and 4 are the 20LC model. They are all in excellent condition and I would rate them a 9 or 9.5 out of 10. Four of them have mono backing with 100 yds of 30 lb power pro mainline. The other two 20LC models have tufline micro leadcore on them, one has 5 colors and the other has 4 colors. I will keep the leadcore if no one wants it. I also have 2 Shimano TDR 8 foot medium heavy rods and 2 cabelas 9 foot dipsey rods. I will sell them as a combo for 75.00 each or the reels separate for 60.00 each and the rods for 15.00 each. Shipping extra. Call or text 716-673-6614.
  14. Steve, what are the differences between the models with the green numbers vs the white numbers?
  15. Looking to purchase 4 Tekota 500's with line counters. Let me know what you have, Thanks
  16. mine are only 4 inches apart and they both work great.
  17. I'm going to try fishing the lower Niagara tomorrow for the first time. The plan is to drift for steelhead/Salmon. I have a Fishmaster 196 with a bunch of tackle. Which launch is best to use? which area should I concentrate on? Are there any good tackle stores nearby that I can stop at? What lures/bait are best this time of year? Im assuming that most people use three way rigs to drift? Thanks in advance for your help.
  18. Pm sent
  19. Thanks for the replies. What depth should I concentrate on?
  20. I will be fishing Keuka lake for the first time next weekend. We will be staying near the south end near Hammondsport. Is there a place to launch down on the south end of the lake? I only saw that there was supposed to be a launch by a hotel there but did not know if that was still available or not. Also, any tips on where to start fishing? I plan on trolling for lakers/trout. I have a 19' starcraft with riggers/dipseys, leadcore etc. I usually troll for walleye on erie and any help is greatly appreciated.
