Does anyone know what the minimum recommended spacing is between main motor and a kicker? I have a dual outboard Pursuit with a small swim platform built into the boat transom. I want to install a kicker on the starboard side next to my main motors but don't think I have enough room. I want to use a swim platform mount instead of the moveable mounts that bolt through the transom. Looking to purchase a adventure marine or panther swim platform mount. I think that if I tie the kicker to the main with a tie bar it might work.

You can buy a 12" garmin echomap UHD for 1500.00 at cabelas right now. Last year's model but still a nice unit that will do everything you want.

What to expect out of my trolling motor
Pursuit 2670 replied to fisherman21's topic in This Old Boat
You need to check each battery independently to see if it is good. I have a 24v system and bought group 29 size agms figuring they were better. After one year one of the battery's went bad. When one is bad it will draw the charge from the good battery and they will both drain faster than normal. -
Wiring question... Terrova and Helix connect to same battery??

I have heard that you MAY have interference issues with it so I avoided it. Try it out and if you do rewire it separately. -

Run the separate wire. I ran wire from the rear battery to a blue seas fuse panel under my dash and then connected the front graph, fishhawk and other things to that. -

I started to have issues with my 2016 9.9 yammi after 4 years of flawless trolling with it. It kept stalling on me while trolling. I read where they are set to run lean from the factory due to emissions standards. There is a small aluminum cap over the fuel mixture jet/screw on the carb. You can take a small pick and pry it up and off easily. Turn the screw to open it up a little. I have not had any issues since I richened the fuel mixture a little bit.

I use it to steer and the kicker for propulsion. I lock in the heading I want to go in and can set lines and net fish when solo with no worries of getting spun around in the wind.

I have a 80lb that I use with my 9.9 for trolling. It lasts 6 to 8 hrs of trolling when set on 3.5 to 4. For bass fishing it should last all day.

Leadcore with torpedo and/or snap weights
Pursuit 2670 replied to RWR1775's topic in Tackle and Techniques
Add the additional lead weight at the connection of the leadcore and your backer line so that you still have the benefit of the whipping action of the leadcore. If you add the weight at the leader end the additional weight will kill the action. You can get an additional 5ft per ounce of lead added to line at 2mph.
