  1. We got 4" of snow Sunday and then a pile of freezing rain Monday. Caused havoc with the power lines. 25 to 30 poles in a row down in some places.I think about 7 or 8 house fires that will be blamed on power surges. Hoping the forcast 65 degrees shows up next week so I can put the new autopilot and HDS7 Gen 3 into the boat. Once that is done check bearings and hopefully ready to rock.
  2. When I bought my boat , my insurance company wanted a marine survey done. I would recommend CaptJohn Banister. He is in West Palm Beach. I know it is a 5 or 6 hour drive for him but he travels around quite a bit surveying boats . I was very impressed with the report that I got. If it helps his phone number is 561-255-4139 www.suenosazules.com Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. At the bottom says $17000. Might be a mistake up top. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. These guys move dozens of boats on some days. In Riviera Beach where my boat was stored, there were million dollar boats in the racks. I don’t think operators would have jobs very long if they damaged boats. The lift operators were in uniforms as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The fork lifts at these places are very impressive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Every trip. There is usually limited docking at these marinas. Couple of docks and a fuel dock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Because waterfront property is so expensive a lot off marinas rack their boats in vertical racks. The marina my boat came out off , their fork lift could move a 60’boat. Most marinas I have scene use this system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I already had an F-250 King Ranch. Hope you have something similar if you pull the trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. My Mako was saltwater. I take it back every year. Nothing like saltwater fishing. Flush everything every time you take it out of the water. I had to put a bottom end on my 200 because the oil leaked out and water got in before I bought it. Have added a couple of early Digitrols and a Big Jon mast. Next is a Lowrance cable auto pilot and new HDS7 Gen3. Can’t wait for this freakin weather to flock off so I can check some beatings, add the 7 and steer system and head down to Bog O. 10. If you do happen to head down to buy it and need a trailer, give Ace trailers in Gibsonton a call. Bought one of Terry’s trailers 5 years ago when I bought a 22’Mako and brought it back. Beautiful aluminum trailer. Can’t go wrong. 45 minutes drive from Largo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for sharing this video. Wally and I had a couple of messages about a transducer for a new HDS7 I received yesterday. I was going to cheap out and buy a less expensive transducer as my unit did not come with one but after Wally’s message yesterday and this video I am going to leave the transducer that is on my boat for now as it will run the 7 and pickup an Airmar T-150 when I can find a good deal. Thanks again. Mitch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Don't take any more covers off. Looks like more crap coming in the end of this week as well as the next couple of days. Freezing rain here tomorrow. Oh joy. 3-6" of snow forcast for Friday. Be checking out how many wrecks the id10ts can cause . Where is our summer? Actually where is spring?? Winter wants at one more shot! Mitch
  14. You are half way there with your Gen 2 HDS. I lucked into a Lowrance cable auto pilot for $499 Canadian at my local Cabelas. Just ordered a new HDS7 Gen 3 to run it. From what I have read you can’t go wrong with the lowrance pilot system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Not just in Albany. We have very little common sense showing in Ontario as well with the present government trying to buy there way back into the election! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks very much. We are planning on being in our campsite on July 13 in Wareham. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Ok. We are in the other end in Richmond. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Hi Les. Just a quick question related to the earlier posts from the new post about Cape Cod started yesterday. Hope that makes sense. I saw someone posted about Stellwagen Bank. I was looking for a launch in Provincetown. Seems to be one but with not much parking. You seem to be fairly knowledgeable about the area. If we get a call day out that way would it be worth the drive from Wareham for a days fish or is it going to be a gong show trying to find a parking spot for a 4 door F-250 and a 26’ boat trailer? Thanks for any more info. Your previous comments helped . Mitch. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. I feel a little luckier. We are only getting 8” in Ottawa over the next day. I was teasing the wife about going to Oswego fishing in the next few weeks. Our first trip together was fishing in Oswego Easter 1988. Not sure where that 30 years went. Have to give up on that plan for a little while now. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  21. Somebody needs to be voted off of the island. $1000 fines?? Not nearly enough. Time to send a message with the fines!
  22. My wife and I are headed down to Cape Cod in July. stripersonline is another site that has lots of members that can shed some light on questions. I have been asking questions for the last few weeks about the area. Good luck. Mitch
  23. You’ll have to check and see if the hydraulic unit is compatible with the Seastar systems.
  24. Might have to see if Raymarine or someone else makes a tilt unit.
  25. West marine has a Simrad unit on sale this week I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
