they are talking the standard snap on ring. you can get away from the rings by going to the dreamweaver deeper divers. fishusa.com has them. if you want to use rings go with the lite bite slide diver. i've used them for a few yrs now and never had a ring come loose. you can use the slide part of the diver to get longer leads behind the diver. or you can use them like I do. I tie to the front arm then tie a 12" piece of heavy line to a small split ring then lace it through the bach going through the back and in the lite bite arm. then use the line to tie a swivel then hook on your snubber. then just use a 6' or 7' fluro leader with swivels at both ends. attach one end to the snubber and the other end to the lure.
be sure and set the tension on the lite bite as loose as it will go and still stay in when you close the front arm. set the front tension tight enough that your not getting false releases.
That would be interesting to see pictures of your setup.

For a guy living close to the great lakes a fish that size could be common but hear in Quebec for most peaple a trout that size is a trophy fish.

Hi all, I'm looking for advice on a power pack (or anything portable) that has anough power to charge my two deep cicle batteries. I always have trouble to find a motel that has plug available for that.
Thanks.

Hi all, I'd like to know if there is a portable charger that would have enough power to recharge two deep cicle batteries. I'm sick of having to find motel that has plugs avaleble for that.
Thanks.

Does the fake news phenomenon is now hitting the fishing world?

On the top picture is it a steelhead? Did you weigh it?

I run 80lb braid and have no issues with fleas
I always wondered if big diameter braid like 80lbs (whitch as about the same diameter then 30lbs mono) would have been ok. I should have asked the question and save some money

What does "no braid in flea season" mean?
It means that braid is the worst line to use in summer time when the water is warmer. Fleas are in abundance and they stick to braid badly. It's a must to use at lease 30 lb mono or as said above wire line.

KeithVT you have all the right gear to start. Just add some mag spoons, flasher-fly and meat rig (A-TOM-MIK). Make a quick search and you'll find recent posts on best spoons and flasher-fly. Good luck.

I have two convector 30 with leadcore (8 and 10 colors). On both I used 500 feet of braid 50 pound (with 10 colors it fit perfect). Got it free from a friend. I don't recommand to use that type of line, there are less expensive line that will make the job done. Usually for salmon fishing you need about 1000 feet of line so 10 colors is 300 feet + backing.
Maybe there are guys with more experience that have better ideas.

They are not. Every year seems a few brave salmon decide to run up this time of year after a good rain, especially out east. Usually the staging starts late August once cooler air temps and water temps show up close to river mouths.
Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile appGood to know, thanks quikfish.

Is it possible that they're already staging?

Good job! This young man will remember that day all his life

I look forward to go there, keep us inform guys.

East side. Is it more resident fish that time of year on the east side? Just wondering when is the best time to fish for those that migrates from the west.

I fished out of SP today solo, and took 4 legal fish and 5 shorts.....never hooked a fish over 20". the "best" screen was 45 - 55 off the park. Harnesses off a diver took the most fish.
Where is SP?
