Hit water about 630. Nice chop from ssw. Went south down east shore about 1.5 miles. Turned north did same. Water was 47.5 two weeks ago. Today, the water temp was 41.7 most areas. Trolled shallow then deep . Not a touch. But still a nice morning and boat ride.

I ran flat line off planers out 75 back 75. Took the LL on that. Down rigger down 15 20 30 40 depending on depth lure. Took the laker in 30 ft. 15 down 100 back spoon, green black dots. LL silver rebel must be 35 years old, still catches fish. Marked fish, no takers. Water loaded with crap.

Fished today, late start, 11 am. Went south east side. I caught 1 laker, 3 lb. Released. 1 LL. 18 inch. Released. Looked like a torpedo! 47 deg. Water temp. Junk in the water, sticks, wood etc. Marked some fish but very slow. Threw everything. Sticks spoons etc. Downriggers, planers, flat line. Got sunburn. Great day.

With the volume of stained crud filled water flowing from Oswego. I wouldn't doubt the fish run for there lives. The western areas seem to be OK but have slowed down as well.

The best thing the small lakes , finger lakes have going for then is dams at there outlets. As long as they aren't transported into the lakes by someone or something, birds. Hopefully they lakes will stay free of them. I truly worry about water flees in the smaller lakes. Ease to transfer from water to water by bait wells, pipes etc.

The Genie is out of the bottle when invasive species are concerned. Guys move from Lake to lake, river to canal. Weeds transfer. Bait gets transferred. The DEC tries. It's a mess.
