  1. I just bought a new to me boat, it's a bay liner classic 2452 hardtop. My wife loves it. We do a lot of trolling. My question is trolling plates? Does anyone use one? And how effective are they? The older fella I bought it from says I will have no trouble getting down to 1.2 mph. My concern is how much control will I loose? I'm I better off with a drift bag or even 2 ? What size drift bag would I need? Any recommendations? Other than a kicker motor, that's out of the question for now. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  3. My new boat has a trolling plate. I'm hoping it works well. I'll be trying it out next weekend on Lake Erie for the first time. I have my doubts it's going to work so I'm planning on buying a drift sock. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Where do you spend most of your time fishing Pap? I'm for sure interested in spending a day on 1 Worm next year. I mostly fish the smaller lakes of eastern Pa. Kinzua, east branch, 1 time on Raystown lake. ( too many PWC,s ) and Lake Erie any time I can get time off work. I usually make 2 or 3 trips to Lake Ontario every year. I use to fish the finger lakes for Bass a lot, years ago. (Had a go fast boat back then). Lol. O and I got 5 more of those riggers for parts. They all have the new style counters on them though. But all the other parts are the same. I'll send you a picture later. All the motors that I've tested work so far.
  10. I found one for my boat, it's from bay liner, drop curtains and it's 799.00 $ plus shipping. I don't know if that's a good price or not? It's the only one I found?? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. X3 I just pulled the trigger on a new to me boat. its a bay liner classic 2452 and I'm looking for new drop curtains for the hard top. I've been told that I have to have them made so I'm interested too. I live in Pa. but would be willing to take the boat elsewhere for fitting.
  12. If your bulb is compressed it's usually your flow control in your tank. There is a ball inline in your tank just behind your screen that will not let your fuel exit out of your fuel line too fast. It's a safety of sorts. Probably needs replaced. Mine has gone bad before. Kept sucking the bulb flat. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. X2. Im betting you spend more on gas getting to the lake and in the boat? almost every Co. has high end and low end products, you get what you pay for.
  19. They are a lot like magnum dipsy divers on a 2-1/2 setting. The problem is now you have to calculate how deep you really are. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. My buddy bought a boat on Ontario and wants to bring it to Erie in the spring. He didn't get a trailer. And it has an 11 foot beam. I'm trying to talk him into leaving it on Ontario as he already has a boat on Erie. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Yea I'm pretty sure the 2 dozen or so eyes I take from the big O every year aren't going to break her. About half go back in any way. I like my eaters 17 to 23 inches. Anything bigger or smaller goes back after a quick picture. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
