  1. Love it. Love the lighting too. Oddly enough I was shopping around for lighting tonight... But I'm not ready to have that talk yet !!
  2. Pap. I know you've been after dogs for awhile. I'll bet the transition will be easier than you think. Don't over think it
  3. I had definitely planned on that ! Construction backround and drywall work has taught me that lesson... Part of my template process was going to be to mark the screw holes
  4. So I reached out to a friend that's gonna price aluminum and galvanized for me. Not sure what thickness I would need but I'll have details tomorrow. Wish I could stick to a plan but I always seemed to get sidetracked. Anybody know what the thickness was on the nymphs that had the aluminum floor ?
  5. Where does one find bulk aluminum sheets ? I would definitely consider doing the floor in aluminum as the newer nymphs had that
  6. Sucked it up and bought the nautolex glue. Read alot of reviews of guys that had issues a couple years down the road with depot bought adhesive. I prob won't have the boat that long but if I sell I like to be confident it's worth the $$. Saving 50$ here can mean spending 200 later.
  7. Will do. I'll use pvc. Cheap and easy to make connection size changes. That was my plan for the potential Livewell line. Adding some string is a great idea. Thanks !
  8. Excellent idea. I'm on it. I've "sorta" cancelled the Livewell idea for now but I intend on replacing the hoses as they are hard as a rock and very brittle. I want the boat done enough where I can enjoy it then if I want a summer project of building a Livewell it won't hold me up too much. Definitely intend on a trolling motor up front. I've got some mental plans for the bow build and will have an area for 1 battery in front of each counsel and the option to put a 3rd in the very front under bow. Plan is to just have a 24v but want the available space in case I do 36v. For now the compartment up front will be storage space. The "kick" panels in the walk through area are going to be screwed in over the carpet so I can take them off later, or if I have the time I'm going to put a couple hinges/ doors on them, again for storage and so I can get batteries in there when I get a electric troller.
  9. She's ready to eat !! Love my wicked headlamp and got a few buddy's with the newer kill lights. Good gear for sure ! Now stop using the wife as a practice target and get in the woods !
  10. And surprisingly enough, the foam was not wet. Some spots were "damp" but not holding water.
  11. Thanks for the pics ! I think I'm gonna go with the shark, so when there's a fat pile of chrome on the floor there's a bit more contrast [emoji12] Getting marine ply. Hopefully be able to cut and test for tomorrow. Sealing will be tough. Not sure how my buddy will feel about his garage getting all stinky. I left the counsels in since the piece that will slide under won't be too big. Hoping that doesn't bite me later. As far as the glue, what did those with vinyl use ? Did you go for the nautolex 88 or something else? And tonight's work...
  12. Got a fantastic kicker... So thanks. I would definitely be interested in a 90 etec though !!
  13. Wow. Tons of ideas. Appreciate em all. I am sold on vinyl for the floors and carpet everywhere else. I may hold off on building the bow and just leave the front flat, but even with the rest of the floor. Although everybody I talk to seems to think I'm more than fine, I'm also still considering doing the transom. I would have it done as it's not something I have the time to dedicate to on top of the other to do's. I just feel like if I'm willing to do the boat I should take the precaution. It's in good shape I'm just being Pro active.
  14. Thanks. I'll be there in the am !!
  15. Lowe's. ( I work there ). It was listed in our suppliers book but I didn't call to verify, I know I ordered 5/4 a few years ago and the disc it the next year, so it's possible that it's n/a. I'll find out
  16. Buffalo-. Lancaster/Alden area. Curious to see what yours looks like though !
  17. There is 3/4 available but by the sounds of it, the consensus says it won't be rigid enough... Plywood seems like my next best thing as it doesn't appear if anybody local sells starboard and I haven't even seen a shipping estimate.
  18. So that pretty much sells me. As far as your concern with the peeling over time, mine will run up the edges 5" on each side so there shouldn't be any issue with pulling up. Now I have to decide between two colors. Talk about overthinking... They have a shark and a grey. The shark appears to be a bit darker which I'm leaning towards since they say the vinyl can be tough to clean with stains, although I don't intend on having any red wine and I assume blood will be washed off immediatly, or that night.
  19. I have no experience with vinyl. My concerns are traction as I plan to fish in less than perfect conditions... Cold, rain, possibly snow. I can add a throw carpet but kinda defeats the purpose. Also concerned about temps in the summer. I have kids I intend to take out and most likely will be barefoot. Not sure that it will maintain a cooler temperature like carpet. If I did vinyl it would be the nautolex in the storm grey so it's not very dark any thoughts ?
  20. I've really been kicking around the vinyl idea. I decided on carpet just for "standard" equipment reasons. I have been slacking on pulling the trigger as it's still an idea to do the vinyl floor.... Decisions decisions.
  21. Thanks ! I will look into starboard
  22. Considering azek / pvc flooring as it seems it's the same weight as marine ply and won't need to be painted and is rot free. There is also a storage area in between the counsels that I intend to bring back. So the list: Floors - pvc/azek Paint side panels Carpet, 20oz charcoal or similar Rebuild bow to have walk through again Install a live well up there New bilge New wood trim on bulkhead And much more.... Right now I need to order carpet and buy flooring.
  23. Title change. Figured I'd post this up as I'll prob be asking advise on things going forward Started tearing all the carpet out last night, removed rigger mounts and some of the flooring. It looks like the current floor won't make it too many more years so that's going too. Should have got an official before, but this is where I'm at
  24. Hoping to head out from the river Tuesday for my first Laker run on the bar. Launch all clear for take off ?? Tia
