  1. Purchased capt Ron's tracks. Will have some adapters on the way and prob just end up drilling them out to accommodate the anglers pal
  2. Tentative plan for batteries.... 4 total, 2 (trolling motor) in front of driver to offset kicker weight, and 1 in front of pass. I need some weight up front anyways. Also going to have the main battery in the back of the boat in the OEM tray.
  3. Decided to take one counsel out to make floor and vinyl install a bit easier. Put a bunch of rivets in some of the bracing that was loose, not fall apart loose just had a bit of wiggle to it. Cut out 2 pieces of the flooring and had to head home. Hopefully cut the last piece tomorrow and start sealing
  4. Just did a quick Google search and found a company that makes 1" thick "cutting boards". Priced a 4"x15" and it was under 20$ shipped. They make it whatever size you want and also give you corner options like bullnose, etc. I'll be doing that. Tentative plan is to use 2 screws, sealed and then drill a bunch of holes and use epoxy to mimic the stern saver idea. Great idea !!!
  5. I love a good snow storm and having the white stuff around... But this winter is Def dragging on too long. Or maybe it's the fact I want to get the boat out and the weather won't cooperate !
  6. I'm currently shopping for tracks, that's why I'm trying to figure out comparability. I prefer the anglers pal over the titelok holders but like the price point of the titelok tracks Vs others
  7. Yes, the anglers pal are. They have a circle base with 3 screw holes. I can snap a pic if needed.
  8. ^ exactly. I'll need the gateway for direct link to the trolling motor.
  9. Interested for sure. You have easy access to a machine, maybe you can machine me some adapters for anglers pal to titelok track ?
  10. I'd make sure you go beyond the "compatible" phrase before you purchase. I know lowrance unit that are "capable" sometimes require a wifi/network box and cable that can cost a couple hundred. I'm no expert in FF, just a guy who spent the money thinking it was ready and realized I needed to spend more.
  11. So I'm looking to get setup this year with some tracks so I can remove rod holders when it's "family" time. I have a set of trees that I will prob leave permanent as they will not be in the way. I have a few options that I'm considering but if someone can answer me on if there's a difference in track size, or more specific, I want to use my anglers pal rod holders Vs my titelok rod holders as there's no easy way to change angle (bow to stern) on titelok. Titelok tracks are half the cost of others out there BUT traxtech seems to be the only manufacturer that offers a base adapter for the anglers pal. Has anyone had experience with those ? Can I buy the traxtech adapter to use on the titelok tracks ? Thanks in advance !!
  12. I think the F bomb is not a phrase but more or less required lingo when after musky.
  13. Goes with the "big lures for big fish" attitude. I like it. A 7" spoon sounds like a good time ! I'd have a hard time sending a 30$ musky lure down to the rocks though...

    What a beauty. Glws
  15. Great read, especially for me (a rookie). I'm with voodoo though, if I was to get a pair of coppers, can I still run a dipsy on the outside without worrying about a tangle on the way in ? I'm just assuming when running 2 dipsys that the angle of the line is similar and when dipsy is popped or fish on it will always stay above inside line where as I'm assuming copper is a lighter angle and would clog up more room at the chute?
  16. ^^^^ and NEVER EVER stop scanning.
  17. "Challenge" bark is usually not good. Kinda like when you walk up to a strangers house and the dog barks at you. Challenge calls can be a great last resort to dogs that won't commit during the rut phase. Kinda like a hail Mary. As far as them barking on the way in, in my experience they are interested in your call but they see/smell/hear something they don't like. If you hear a bark you can almost guarantee the dogs will be sneaking down wind before committing to anything. I know of a few times where the wind shifted or one snuck in down wind and started barking. Usually when I hear that I start swearing in my head. For my sets, if I know one is close to winding me, and/or barking I shut up, give it plenty of time and pull out. No need to educate a dog that's on high alert.
  18. NADA. Snow took over. Also had 18-20" of powder.
  19. Thanks ! Snow should be peeling off when I get there. Haven't hit those sets in 2 weeks. Should be able to reel one in. Will definitely post pics of blood if shed
  20. Heading to the southerntier tonight. Hopeful.
  21. Well, there's 2 ways to skin a cat. Maybe we can retract our bids and start working backwards. I'm back to 101.52 3/4
  22. This is now going from an auction to shark tank. You have offers from multiple sharks.... What are you gonna do !!!??
