  1. Mr. Whaler I dont thing your feelin to well. Think you need to call in sick
  2. Better get to the launch early. Maybe a lil crowded. I’m so pumped for tomarrow. Looks like alot of members gonna b out amd lots of reports. I’ll be posting tomarrow all day as I go.
  3. Nice work and thanks for the info. By chance did u try sliding out a lil deeper? Past few weekends I caught fish here and there in 30-40Fow but were smaller browns. When I went out to 60+ the class of fish improved greatly. Wondering if that deeper water is still producing. Are you fishing tomarrow?
  4. My radio stays on 68. Usually go by Hachimo on radio as well
  5. I’ll be out in front of the high rocks And plant all day Saturday and Sunday morning. My radio is always on. Good luck as well
  6. Lol. If this turns into an East Coast West Coast kinda thing, I’m east side all the way!
  7. Sorry to her of the troubles. At least it should be an easy fix. My pump went bad last year but luckily I keep an extra on the boat and a toolset. At least u loaded the boat with kings thou!
  8. Good to know thank you. my wife has family in Wayland NY (45min south of Rochester) and often thought of launching from the Rochester area
  9. I’ve been waiting for an invite on your boat to fish out your way, Mr. Whaler! I have only been out of Mexico. This time of year I’m sure fishin is better out west. Maybe one weekend I’ll pull it out of the slip and trailer it west and check out other ports.
  10. My boat is an older, blue and white trophy in the slip next to there launch. The wife and I will be up Saturday and Sunday. We hangout on the boat at the dock all the time. Stop by if ya see us.
  11. Dipseys were out 55-65ft on 3rd setting. Riggers 50ish. I usually just fish the marks this time of year. I’m most likely gonna be out There Saturday
  12. This past weekend I didnt make the trip, but the past two weekends prior I did very well in front of the plant. 60-70Fow was my best depth. all spoon bite anything green, green,or green was catching fishLots of good size browns. I didnt boat any kings but I had a bunch of break offs. Hopefully the weather cooperates this weekend and I can make a trip up. good luck and post a report if ya get out.
  13. Nice work out there. Very heathy lookin fish. I keep sayin Im not comin up this weekend and gonna do some yardwork. Lol. Then u guys post pics like this and come Saturday morning I’m on the road. keep the pics coming!!
  14. Sucks to have a bad catching day. But they certainly make them days u load the boat up that much better. Come to think of it. I didnt mark a whole lot of fish yesterday. Blank screens and rods would fire. Then occasionally I would have a mark come up and chase the ball, drop to neutral quick back in gear and rod would fire. I’m sure ur next trip will make up for it. Still nice to get out whenever ya can.
  15. My wife keeps grabbing up all the NBK’s. Between whats at home and then on the boat I have 20+ in all sized. When will it end
  16. I was wondering if anyone knew of a website that had like a complete list of pics and all there names. I’ve been lookin all over the internet and cant find anything. Over the past two weeks I pick up a couple lots of used stingers and would like to put a name to the ones that are out of packages.
  17. Awesome. Great feeling catching your first king. Especially when its with your dad. I still remember my first king 25years ago. That memory with my grandfather will last my lifetime. great job.
  18. I had steelhead, river fishing diehards with me With little lake experience and they were getting sick with the chop. And around 11ish it seemed the switch was flipped and flat calm.
  19. 5 of the 7 browns were loaded with bait like this. This one I counted 27. The big elwife was 5.5in. Gotta b a pretty decent sign of lots of bait this year. Right???
  20. Wow what a day!!! My best day out for browns. My buddy and his wife joined us and had a blast. Got first rods out at 7:00am,started in 40Fow in front of the high rocks and didnt connect untill little after 8am. Started with a mix of spoons and sticks and 1 FF in the spread. By 9:00 I switched to all spoons and 1FF and it was Game on. Doubles, triples, and a steady pick from 9 till 12:30. Best water was 60-70FOW. NbK, blue Uv, sodus buckey, carbon14. Lol it didnt matter they were all colors. Finished the day 14/20. Well. Thats where I lost count. Lost 2 kings. Still haven’t boated a king this year and lost another brand new spoon on a dipsey on the hit. this morning lake was a little choppy, but layed right down around 11:00. Such a beautiful day out there today. Nice class of fish.kept a handfull that werent gonna make it. biggest 11lb.
  21. Thanks fellas. Tomarrow is lookin pretty decent. Gonna give it a go.
  22. Very well said. Riggers/divers r the backbone in my opinion as well. And they can be fished in bad conditions. When the lake gets a decent chop my boards and junk lines come in. My 500 and 450 coppers turned into 100 and 200 coppers after tryin to run them in a decent chop. Lol.
  23. This is probly like beating a dead horse cause we all know 99.9% the time there wrong and safe to say to expect double what they forcast the waves to be. I’m courious what sites some of u guys use when checking. Or opinions of where is the best site to look at. Ive been using Marine.weather.gov and click mexico bay in the map and most of the time I get a bogus forcast Lol. Also check mexico local weather and even tried using my hunt stand app to get wind and direction. Ultimately I look at the lake before takin the boat from the slip. Whats another site or two I can look at to get more opinions.
  24. By any chance do U know any good spots I can pick mushrooms this time of year LOL. Great advice
  25. They will catch fish and you will get the hang of runnin them. Just don’t forget about gettin diver setups sometime in the future. A couple years ago when I wanted to incorporate a new setup to my spread 9 out 10 members here said Divers. A few of them even asked “what the hell is wrong with you for not already havin them” LOL. This is a great site with very knowledgeable members who aren’t afraid to help. best of luck. Tight Lines.
