Its only the start of November and I cant help it but the ten year old in me comes out and i sit in the captains chair pretending I’m trollin for kings Got my 25 wat solar panel in and the charge controller all hooked up. Just waiting on the brackets to mount to the hardtop.

Some beautiful bucks! Great work. I haven’t been out with the crossbow yet. Took a walk around the property and got 60yrds from a good shooter buck. Unfortunately I had my AR with me doin a perimeter walk i have a pack of coyotes gettin to close to my ducks and chickens and some tresspassers tryin to hunt my property. So I make my presence know with random walks. Startin monday its time to get out for my Buck.

Dont get much easier then that maybe if u open ur garage he will go right in. then no draggin hang em up and skin him.

No. Just bottom painting. But Dont take my word on it thou cause this is only the second boat i have bottom painted. Lol. pressures. 120psi was best but as runnin it would drop and i would cut flow to rebuild Psi. My garage isn’t finished yet so i dont have my compressor hooked up. Using a DEWALT gas powered and it had a hard time keepin psi’s.

Thats a 15lb blaster from harbor freight. And I’m using Baking soda as a median. If I had to do it again I would of gotten the next size up blaster. It took longer to fill it with powder then it took to blast. Harbor freight has 50lb bags for $40. It took 4 bags to do my bottom. As far as repainting I’m using the rust oleum anti microbial bottom paint. I bought a quart thinkin it was a gallon so I ran short. I believe it was $40 a quart and I need two more.

Took a little time off from workin on the boat to get my bear tag filled. Thats done so back to the boat. Had rain days the last two days so I got the bottom paint all blasted and half of it painted. Lookin real good so far. Now workin on getting my styker remote control spotlight hooked up and a 25watt solar panel ontop the hardtop.

Gotta respect that. Every year it seems I pass a sal with cubs. My bear 5 years ago durrin archery was a sal with first years cubs. Watched her 10min come in from 100yrds to 30. Never seen a cub. When i walked up to her an hour after the shot. There were 2 cubs layin next to her Broke my hart. Almost sold everything and was gonna quit hunting. Following year I didnt hunt cause it still bothered me. Now i believe them two cubs are the two sals hangin together at my house with 7first years between them. Mistakes happen but if i see a first or 2nd year cub nothin gets shot.

Just got out of the woods. The wife and I did two slow, quiet pushes for my cousin and buddy. Kicked out two nice bucks but no bears. Looks like the bears I’ve been seeing moved out of that area to another swamp. Great feelin to be in the woods without a weapon,helpin others fill tags.

Good luck everyone. I’m headin back out for bear😝 I cant just sit home when I found them. Postin my cousin and other buddy that i share info with and gonna do a slow quiet push for them. Goin in empty handed today.

Nope. Bear from this morning had a big gut and was jet black. This bear is an old female. Lot more brown in the face. Sane area thou. All the bear r gathered in this small swamp with a big timber cut load with oak. Only oak to b found for miles

Thanks for all the congrats fellas. Been a great hunt. I made a great story for this bear. I was convinced i wasn’t gonna kill a bear this year. Food is scarce. And it was tough nailing them down. After today thou. I’m convinced i could get another bear tomarrow in the same area. I seen 7 bear and missed the one this morning. I love the solo hunt. One-on-one in the big woods. Just me the bears and my pop pop walkin behind me.

Got her out of the woods and in the truck. Game warden met me in the woods and tagged it. 180live weight according to his measurements

Live weight id guess 180-200. Lets see what the game commission GUESS whenhe gets here to check it amd tag it. Shot on public lands. Now the work has started

Not lookin good. Definitely the bore I was after. After the shot i watched him runnoff trou a timber cut and he didnt look injured. After walkin to where i shot a sal with 3 cubs took off in the same direction. i searched for blood and hair but nothin. Gonna give it an hour or two and go into the laurels after him

Had another good day. Wind wasn’t cooperating with me and with 74degrees for the high. I had to get up move around a little bit. I knew there was a good bear in the swamp I’m hunting and sure enough I jumped him and got a peak at him. Tough to say, but by the sign I seen and the slight look, 300-400lb range. Visibility in the laurels was 20yrds so I couldn’t get a confident shot. I pulled out and drive to my swamps in two different county's and pulled my 2 spypoint cameras that haven’t been doin much. After another 10mile day I got my camreas in my bag and tomarrow morning its time to learn this bear, and get them back out after this guy. 2 more days of muzzleloader and then another week of bear archery after. Things are lookin up!
