  1. Very nice. Thanks for the report and congrats on some beautiful specimens! Well done.
  2. Fished solo out of Irondequoit Bay yesterday morning. Surface temperatures ranged from 38-41. Warmer water around Webster Park. Focused on 8-12 fow. Water had a nice color along the shoreline. Found lots of fish. Mostly small cookie cutters, but did catch a couple decent ones too. Finished in the double digits but lost count. Plenty of action for one guy. Did well on the chartreuse challenger all morning. Black and gold took quite a few too. Two rods, one color lead core.
  3. Nice work. Thanks for taking the time to post a report.
  4. Fished out of Dunkirk this weekend for the first time. We had consistent information thanks to the reports here and the local fishing community - this gave us a good idea of where to start. We made it out for a couple hours Thursday evening despite rough conditions and checked some water around the 75 foot mark. We marked fish right away and had constant action until we got blown off. We fished early Friday morning and smoked em. 75-90 fow. Released two 26 1/2 inchers and a couple others in the 25 inch range. Saturday morning, rinse and repeat. The bite was outstanding. We were back at the dock at 7:30 with our limits. Released a nice 27” walleye - our largest fish of the trip. Bombers and Challengers on 6 colors and worm burners on #4 Chinooks 80-120 ft on #1 settings. I think we changed lures once after breaking the tail off a bomber in the net. Had several doubles and triples. Rarely had 4 rods in the water. Lots of fun for two guys in a small boat. Thanks to everyone who contributes reports here. They help anglers like me make the most of our time on the water. If you’re considering fishing Erie for the first time, go for it! We had a great experience and look forward to our next adventure.
  5. Fished out of Mexico point yesterday 7-1. Very slow bite for me. Hit one 15” brown shortly after getting set up and then had one short hit. Rest of the day was quiet. Fished a variety of spoons and stick baits off planers and leadcore in 8-20’. Solo 3 rod spread. Early morning fished west, late morning picked up and fished east of the launch. Found some warmer water with nice color transition but couldn’t get em going. Surface temperature was between 42-44 degrees. This was my third trip out of Mexico this year. I’m not a novice, but certainly far from a pro. Covered a lot of water yesterday and fished hard. Saw a couple fish netted on other boats through out the day, but it didn’t appear that anyone was setting the water on fire. I’ll be back out there when the wind dies down. 13-17’ is a bit much for my 16 footer
  6. I fished out of Irondiquoit yesterday as well. Didn’t get started until after 9 o’clock. We only fished until noon and managed one small brown. Couldn’t seem to get much going
  7. PM sent. I'm right in North Syracuse. Drop me a line when you have a moment. Thanks!
  8. Oh, it’s not always pretty, that’s for sure! I think about half the time there is only one rod in the water... My autopilot system is slightly glitchy. I’m having trouble finding the software update for a 2x6 piece of pine wedged against the deck! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Fished solo yesterday morning and today out of Pine Grove. Just about halfway between Mexico and the dunes. 3/4 yesterday with a king, coho, and brown. 2/3 today both kings. Off the water by 11 both days. All flasher/fly off riggers down 85-110. Stayed between 120-140’ well south of the dunes and generally out of the pack. Noticed quite a few boats in tighter today. I didn’t mark as many fish today as yesterday. Fished alone with only 2 rods, so take that for what it’s worth... I’m sure some of the big boats are grinding out better numbers, but I’m not complaining! Beautiful couple days to fish! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  11. Just touching base to see if the riggers are available. I can pick up anytime. Please lmk. Thanks!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. pm sent. Will take the downriggers if available. Thanks!
  13. I also meant to add that it seems like the stingers and nk’s Have a wider range of effective speeds. This is purely an untested theory. I’ll have to experiment more when I’m not trying to fish. Any thoughts on the validity of this theory? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
