Date wise when do the Trout and Salmon move shallower?

I haven't fished the henderson/chaumont bay area for salmon or trout in the fall. So I was just wondering in the past when do they start to shallow up in the 30-50 fow range?

It really depends on water temperature but ad far as dates go mid September is probably average.

Ok that was my thought. I figured I would start trolling for them early september.
