  1. NEED OBSERVERS FOR NIAGRA AND ORLEANS PRO AM'S DEL
  2. Nick my boat is 20ft. 4in. with a 8ft beam and has a very shallow draft. I have 4 riggers on it. It is powerd buy a 135 outboard and a9.9 kicker. Most of the time I only run 3 riggers and more junk off boards and dipsey's. I don't allway's run the max rods and yes a larger boat handles rough water better but then their are times when a smaller boat can turn and stay on the fish better. I enjoy going out and catching more than a biger boat and don't feel handicaped with mine. The reason's you stated is why on some other lakes they have added a 23ft or smaller class This class is optional and cost less to enter and they will call you off the lake faster if it starts to blow up. I feel this would be a better way of doing things than resticting the whole AM class, The way it is now if you set down on a bunch of small fish you could have your 6 fish before you could find larger fish. On the point of fishing pro i don't have the room to fish with 5 pepole. DEL
  3. I don't know why the rules were changed last year any way. I did not see a increase in boats because of them. I liked the 9 fish limit because it leaveled the playing field boat trouble or bad luck one day and you could still make a come back. I also would like to say that the name on the boat or it's size dosen't matter if the rules are the same you just got out fished. DEL
  4. I would like to know how many boats the two man teams added to the Am's? Plus I understand that this year the pay back is going to be 15 places. Last year at the Oak there were only 18 am boats I beleive. So this is going to lower the payback for the top teams and make the AM's think twice about fishing all 4 events witch will hurt the teams fishing for the cup. Are we still having the scoring the same as last year or going to the old way? Mybe we should have a second Am class for the small boats so they can enter at a lower cost and no observer. I understand they are thinking this way in other states. DEL P.S. Thank you everyone for your hard work.
  5. We will be out of Oswego good luck to everyone. DEL
  6. We did our first adult King for this year out of Oswego today. It was a nice fish and gave Mark a good fight on 10lb line and a light pole. The fish came on a NK 28. Lets hope the no. 1 spring derby fish will come from the east end again this year. DEL
  7. I run 13lb pancakes on my outside rigers and the only time they have tangled is when someone put them on the wrong side. DEL
  8. What part of Pa. are you from? Before I got bit buy the big lake bug I would catch fish on a rig like you are saying in Pa. locals call them Christmas trees. I also would do good with small disk divers and small spoons. DEL
  9. I have caught kings on stick baits right off the wall and out deep this time of year. But if I'm just after kings I will run dodger and fly's and spoons, 1 to 5 colors of lead off the boards and long leads of the riggers. You have to get away from the pack that's filling there boxes with browns and hunt them. Once you find them mark the spot and stay on them. It's hard to leave fast action brown's to fish for them but they will not stay in boat traffic. You will not find the numbers of kings in the spring as in the fall but they are still some there. DEL
  10. We will be there, going out of Willson and staying at the T-P Queen in Olcott. DEL
  11. They changed the date this year so the PRO AM would not be on the Holiday. DEL
  12. FISHHAWK was sold to Nature Vision. Heard they didn't have a service dept. set up yet. DEL
  13. JEff when I was in rodchester to get my check for the fall derby no one had any answers about new rules. I would just like a heads up so we don't get told these are the rules if you don't like them don't fish! I hope all the Am's are involved with the new rules not just a select few. DEL
  14. NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE CHANGES IN THE RULES NOT NEXT SPRING WHEN IT IS TOO LATE! SO MAKE CONTACTS NOW WITH YOUR THOUGHTS ON WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE CHANGED.. DEL
  15. Try turning off fishfinder and see if reading are better. If they are you can have Fish hawk make you a filter. That's what I had to do and now it works great. The filter cost about $75 but money well spent. DEL
  16. Team LIQUID PLUMBER ended up with grand prize 28lb 11oz and 5th prize 26lb 2oz DEL .
  17. WE PUT 28lb11oz KING on board fishing the pro am in Oswego sunday. TEAM LIQUID PLUMBER
  18. LIQUID PLUMBER FISHING TEAM is looking for an observer for the Sodus PRO-AM. THANKS DEL
  19. NICK All i am saying is an observer is needed with the rules as the are now and how they were in the past. I know it is hard to box out in 45 min with 6 fish then bounce bottom for 6 hr for a laker and release bigger salmon. This is what we did. Yes I think the limit should be 9 fish. The first 9 leagle ones caught. If they want us to pick the top 5 fine. I am getting imput about the rules because they changed them with out asking the people that have fished these for years. I know a observer is a big pain we had to scamble for one this last time because of last minute ploblem. Good luck and I hope to fish against or for that matter with you sometime. DEL
  20. TEAM LIQUID PLUMBER will be fishing at SODUS . I heared that there might be a dock problem because of some places changing hands? We are pumped up this year with our fourth and third finshes plus the best in the west cup! hope to see every one at oswego and sodus. DEL P.S. GOOD LUCK TO ALL
  21. NICK if closed communication was droped because it could not be inforced with a observer how is a six fish limit going to be with no observer? DEL
  22. I have been asked to submit a list of changes we would like to see in the AM rules and would like your imput ASP! THANKS DEL
