    Had a great time at the tournament - always fun getting to see everyone and do some fishing together. Congrats to the top three guys - 1st place was 39", 2nd was a tie with a pair of 31" fish. Those were only fish over the qualifying 30" mark caught for the field - tough day for everyone it seemed. We had two small tigers follow (both under 30") but couldn't boat anything that was wasn't a bass - got one large mouth and one small mouth. Also got to see a bald eagle come down and snatch a fish out of the water 50 yards from the boat as well... that was pretty cool! Water temps and rain run-off played big factor today. Temps on the south end were 51 and 58 up on the north. Run off from the rain created huge mud plums that spread widely into the main part of the lake. Also saw an incredible amount of dying-off sunfish on the north end. Looked like a very easy "musky buffet" of sunfish available. Not sure what caused that? The tournament had a great turn-out. 29 members participated (even more than the bass tournament on the lake that day!). I can't remember the last time a musky tourney had more participants than a bass tourney the same day. I would have probably been better suited fishing the bass tournament that day Happy mother's day to all those mother's out there (and thanks for letting me and my brother go fishing yesterday!) We had a great time and look forward to participating again next year.

    Tough fishing for us this week. Boated one fish on the practice day and they disappeared on us over the weekend. Had a lot fun. Maybe some better luck next year. Sent from Lake Ontario United mobile app

    Hi guys - I'll look more into this. It looks like the issue is with the mobile app. Try it from the regular website or the mobile website, those both work. We will be doing upgrades in the near future to the app so give it a try after that. Also, be sure you have the latest version of LOU app. I know there are bugs with older versions.     Hi guys - We had an issue with our email notifications recently. I was having the same issue and looked more into what was causing it. Apparently our email service limits us to sending 12,000 emails per month.... well we easily exceeded that number this month so it HALTED our emails. :headbang: I have switched us over to a bigger email service (one with no limits) so hopefully we should good moving forward.     Got a note today from Bill Hilts Jr. about the updated NYS Fishing License fee structure. The new license fee structure and the new license year in New York as of Feb. 1, Nonresident annual fishing license will drop from $70 to $50 Resident license from $29 to $25. In addition, no more set license year - your year starts the day you purchase it. Great news! Wanted to pass this info along to our members. Thank you, Chad
