He's still up there till some time this Saturday. The 1st day we ran east around 9 miles total started in 140' of water but could not find any temp till we got out around 200'.............we picked most of the fish up in 250' to a tad over 300' but no size to them.........back at camp dude said they did one major straight out.....next morning we gave that a go picked the 24# up before we had all 4 rods down in about 195' of water.............work the area and some more picking up some just to keep us out there did have temp in 160' or less out in front...............plain monkey puke spoon took one skipper , green/white SD with green color fly took 18# as above the the green dalmation was good both days.............. brown trout meal my coho......... Buckys bow............. my mix breed.......... Buckys king........... my king................... the hot rig ............( can anyone I.D. the fly ???)

Oh and he's a STEELERS fan too !!!!!!!

Ok good , my boat it open and great to fish out of but no where to get out of the bad weather and a pain when I have to put the cover on. Then every time I look to up grade the fishing area is smaller and storge is little or they have to use the cuddy for evey thing.................

It happens and some times when you look back another piece of the fishing puzzle fits......that's what got my spoon program on track !!!! Then there are just those days I go fishing and no catching.......

I've been running my spoons 35' to 45' back..................6' free slider

If it's still for sale do you have any pictures of the working area and what you have for storage for tackle and rods.............thanks...............also where is it now ?

.......are you running cheaters on the spoon riggers ?..............my spoon bite has been real soft most times you'll just see the rod tip slowly come up a bit then drop back down...........we jump on the rod reel down pop if from the release then POWER REEL as fast as you can till you feel weight and give it the wrist hook set....... if your in the zone for landlocks you should be high enough for the bows !!!!!

Seneca 8-28-2010 Well I just had to know am I on to some thing or is that area just plain " HOT " right now. I got a later start fished for less than 2 hours and went 2 for 2. Both browns one male at 22.25" and 5# 3oz.........a female at 22.25" and 6# 2oz...............it was pretty lumpy for my program and I had a few tangles fishing by myself but didn't lose a fish.............it works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to take a nap !!!!!!!!

Nice job ,not sure how you are doing but here is how what I've been doing....... on my bows ( spoon rods )on Seneca I've been power reeling with the rod in the holder to get all slack out then a light hook set with wrist when I feel them also who ever gets there first that little time getting the next guy in line has lost too many fish for me on my spoon/rigger program......................but what ever work for stay with it !!!!!!

Oh it also sadden me that when the Toby Wood post was put up that NO one asked or put down what the ( RIP ) was for.................that was one of the one I PM on the other thread I was not going to post it out here on the web because it didn't feel right , the other one was from a member that was on this site who also had his own site like Toby did he's still around but I did feel right putting on this site also...................just a little info that you didn't ask me in a PM or in that post !!!.....well I'm late time to pack the boat and do what we all are here for.........go fish'n...........have a great weekend everyone !!!!!!

Just a sugestion , if you guys that want to figure out this jigging put up your reports good OR bad. Folks on here that hve a good handle on it may be better able to help you fine tune your program......................THAT's what this site is here fore , to learn from our sucesses and short coming some times we learn a whole lot more.

Seneca 8-27-2010 We got a early start today Hoot joined us we went 5 for 7............three browns ( 18.5" @ 3# 3oz , 22" @ 5# 13 oz. and a hog 25.75" @ 9# 14oz. ) , one legal landlock and a dink laker...............fleas are still bad along with some weeds but we retied every thing yesterday afternoon and they came off some what easier , pluss it was a good idea with the hogs we've been getting into............ Stans big brown.............. My hog and the one that started the day........... the total catch............ Hoot showing me how to get that brown over 10#...... Brother Stan saying HOW HE DO THAT.........

The big brown Brother Stan with his brown 21.75" The catch of the day.........2 browns , 2 rainbows , 1 laker....... Stan with yesterdays catch................ Well time to give it a go again.................

Took Stan a while to get in gear with his dog this morning but it turned out GREAT...........kicked up my shallow water program in high gear. We went 8 for 14 if dink land locks count I got my sencond Seneca Lake Grandslam today. Boated two dink landlock , 2 rainbows , one 3# laker , and three browns one dink , one at 21.5" and the last or I should say the first fish in the boat 25" 9# 10oz. What a day !!!!!!!!! .......... ..............I'll post picture later if !!!!!!!!

ac holmes , was that rig up at Barretts this spring ????? I saw one up there seemed smaller nice looking ride but the freeboard seem like it would be too easy to fall out of.......how high are the sides????

Seneca 8-25-2010 Brother Stan , his dog Kinger and I went out this morning didn't have the three rod in and one fired. Stan landed a 21.75" rainbow @ 3# 5oz. We worked this area for a while nad picked up a 19.5" laker @ 2# 6oz. Picked up one more laker tad smaller than the other one and lost a dandy rainbow or landlock not sure. It came out of the water two times with the 2nd time it was off the hook and just gave us the fin..............LOL..............think we saw Ray G. out there........after he went by on his return trip a eagle came from the west shore dropped down out in the middle of the lake picked up a fish and flew back from the area he/she came from.........NEAT !!!!

How long since your fuel pump was rebuilt ???? Next time out have some one pump the primer bulb if it picks up speed your diapharms are shot in the fuel pump. Also check for air leaks from the tank to the motor , kinks or weak spots in the supply line and change all fuel filters..................I just went thru this whole deal and also changed plugs like he said above.............one other thing I did was run carb cleaner on all three of my carbs with the water hose hooked up.................good luck...........
